It was an unfortunate experience staying at a certain hotel that was nothing short of a nightmare. First of all, i was given a room at MENGGUO HOTEL rather than MENGGUO SMART HOTEL because i had few luggages, however it could be fine to stay in the room i booked, It was meant to be a relaxing getaway, but it turned into a nightmarish ordeal from the moment I stepped into the room, the condition of the room was appalling. The floor was disgustingly dirty, as if it hadn't been cleaned properly in ages.I couldn't even take off my shoes without feeling uncomfortable. Adding that the window in the room couldn't open at all. Fresh air and natural light are essential for a pleasant stay, but being trapped in a stuffy, closed-off room only added to the sense of claustrophobia, though the view outside was not appealing. As if the cleanliness and window issue weren't enough, the room had a column right in the middle of it, making it feel cramped and awkwardly designed. It hindered the ease of moving around and gave the room an unappealing layout. It seemed like the architects had completely overlooked the practicality of the room, during the night, there was incessant noise and people talking at 4 am. It's possible that the staff might have been responsible for the disturbance. Regardless of the source, the hotel lacked proper noise cancellation measures, which made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. Also, the lights inside the room were too weak especially the window couldn’t bring any lights.
When I requested a room change, they outright refused, stating it could only be addressed the following day. This lack of concern for their guests' comfort and well-being was bad, I couldn't bear the thought of staying there for more than one night. It was clear that the hotel management wasn't taking their guests' complaints seriously. So, without hesitation, I decided to seek help from trip.com support to refund the remaining six days of my booking. In all honesty, I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone else. Therefore, I strongly advise get the room you’re booking. Among all the staff, only one girl seemed to be helping, but the others were showing no intentions to help.
