The surroundings were stunning and peaceful, making it the perfect escape from the city. The service was absolutely five-star; everything was spotless and thoughtfully designed. Even the bathroom had massage features, which was such a luxurious touch. Every detail made me feel completely relaxed and taken care of. The bar and restaurant are typical Chickpea decor…toasty log fires, cosy corners, atmospheric candles and lovely furnishings. We had a delicious evening meal, lots of help choosing the wine and breakfast was also great, good choice of healthy or hearty dishes. "What a fantastic find! Very impressed with The Shrubbery Hotel. Welcoming host and very clean room and environment. Lots of quality goodies in the well appointed bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Food was excellent and prices very reasonable. The breakfast particularly good with fresh fruit and yoghurt followed by individually cooked choice of breakfast dishes. Bar available with draught beers and selection of wines. l would thoroughly recommend and hope to go back. Brian and Lindsay"
