Stayed at the Ascot as part of a Travel Dept holiday. Very friendly staff, a very walk-able location at the end of the main shopping street. Spacious double rooms with good air con, clean linen, nice bar with courtyard terrace, seated areas both inside and out. Good continental style breakfast with lovely attentive staff. Cannot comment on lunches or meals as we ate out all the time. Some negative points would be the tired shabby condition of the furniture/paint in the bedroom and the bathroom can appear unclean because it needs updating. The hotel can be noisy because this is Italy, there is traffic, there are scooters and the hotel is on a main road. Buses cannot stop outside the door so there is a walk from various locations to and from the bus for tours. However, would I stay again, probably yes because of the location and friendliness of the staff.

Great hotel With a nice pool area. The hotel has friendly staff and family run. Rooms were clean but as with most Italian hotels required an update. A nice snack bar area offering Burgers, Pizza, Pasta’s and salads for lunch near the pool which was reasonably priced.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It's in a cracking location, just yards (and a flat walk) from some of the best bars and restaurants in downtown Sorrento. The communal areas of the hotel are very smart, and the bedrooms, whilst small, are very comfortable. Good air con, big bed and a balcony. The bar is cheap for drinks and food, and the staff are super helpful. What's not to like? Would definitely stay here again.

Family run friendly hotel. Had a fab stay here however if I was too revisit I would only do so on a b&b basis as was not overly impressed with evening meals. Breakfast was continental with a large selection of pastries. However the other selections were limited and twice had to ask for ham and cheese to be topped up as very limited amount laid out. Pool and sun beds were great Rooms a bit dated but clean Shower was ace There was a lot of road noise from. Our room as we were right on the main street so took 3 nights to adapt to the nousr

I couldn't be happier with this hotel. The location is perfectly central within walking distance to everything in Sorrento Town. All the staff were lovely, the breakfast staff cleaner and front desk. The pool was clean and ideal for rest days. The room was basic but had everything we needed. The shower was powerful. Price was much cheaper than anywhere else we could find in the area. We would definitely recommend it.

Perfect location for exploring Sorrento and the Almafi coast. Hotel Ascot is about two minutes from the central ***** in Sorrento and about 5 minutes away from the train station. There’s a great supermarket next door and a fabulous viewing point to catch a sunset across the road. The hotel is a bit tired and we had a bit of mildew on the bathroom ceiling (caused by condensation) and it’s poorly soundproofed, but the beds are comfortable, it’s clean and the staff are great (funny, helpful and caring). Hotel Ascot felt safe. The breakfast buffet is great - the pastries were amazing (croissants, coconut macaroons, freshly baked biscuits). The scrambled eggs were good too. The hotel is on a main road but it couldn’t be heard as the room had a double glazed patio. The pool was great and the sun beds were really comfortable. We had a great time at this hotel and would definitely recommend.

Was welcomed very kindly by the entire staff !! Super excellent service ROBERTO the server TOP NOCH! Grazie!!👌 Front desk service excellent , professional and sincere. Highly recommend if in Sorrento ! Food was amazing and hospitality was more than perfect !!! Si si si !!

Coaches do not drop you to the door. You will be dropped at a bus station approximately 10 minutes walk away through the main Piazzo. We had elderly guests on our group tour who found it a bit of a trek everytime we headed off for a trip. Staff are friendly & helpful. Food is of good & fresh standard. Drinks at the bar reasonably priced. Hotel is old but clean. Good location to explore. You would see everything in a day. So it can be repetitive if you don't have a day trip planned. Our room was top floor, over looking main road, busy traffic but wasn't annoying. Nice spacious private terrace. Our AC didn't work, & yes the shower is very snug. Over all a pleasant stat.

Absolutely fantastic hotel I would recommend to anyone staying in Sorrento. Yes the rooms are a little bit old fashioned, but not as bad as most of the other hotels. The bedrooms are basic but clean. The beds weren’t the most comfortable but the location makes up for any negatives. The staff are brilliant and very friendly. Pool area is nice, relaxing and clean. Good prices at hotel bar and lots of choice. Everything walking distance, although the junction just outside is one to watch. Would definitely stay here again. We were very lucky and got an absolutely huge wrap around balcony - it was at least twice the size of the room and had sun loungers so it’s definitely worthwhile paying the small amount extra. We also found the other guests in the hotel really friendly and a lot come back every year. Breakfast is poor but only a short walk to a lovely cafe serving every patisserie under the sun! The showers in the rooms definitely need replaced as they’re only really big enough for infants. But otherwise great!!
