Massive hotel with 618 rooms, fresh and sea water pools and its own beach. Stayed here for two nights at the end of a small-group tour of Tunisia. Friendly helpful staff. Large rooms with all mod cons. Huge choice of food at breakfast and (buffet) dinner.

Definitely not a 5* but can’t fault it too much, the hotel was clean, staff were all friendly and welcoming - especially bar/ waiting on staff. Animation team were absolutely brilliant with us the whole time we were there. Always very cheerful and fun doing pool activities and getting involved with the guests. Only 1 problem with the staff was the guy who took our luggage of us, seemingly can’t of give him a good enough tip for then on he was rude towards us spoke to everyone else but not to us even when spoken too. Which was a shame because tips shouldn’t determine how you should treat someone. Bed & pillows were very comfy, the room was a good size plenty of space. We had a view facing the beach which was a nice view especially watching the sunrise in the morning - only problem was the noise at night time was very noisy especially on weekends could do with some better doors to block the noise the out. The handle to our balcony door was broken. Food was good, lots of different choices but was same throughout all week apart from Saturday, got a little sick of eating the same things. Puddings were great. Good location for the hotel, beach right opposite the hotel, lots of shops and restaurants close by within walking distance everyone even in the shops were welcoming and friendly. Pool area was good a nice big pool and big selection of sun lounges ( you have to go early to get a decent sun lounger) chilled music played throughout the day in pool area which was nice and relaxing. Lots of shade for when you get too warm in the sun. Although we didn’t have housekeeping in our room they were more than happy to help when we needed. Very friendly always got a good morning and good afternoon of them.

The hotel is a very fine one. Yes, it has its mistakes and shortcomings (I have read the one star reviews before) but you simply cannot except much more for this price and location. + : Staff is super friendly and understanding with kids (except for 1 person). There is a lot of folks working there! Really a lot.. Amazing amount of workforce.. Never seen before in Europe that much people working in hotel. Pools are as good as on the photos. Beds are excellent. Food is constantly available. Food for kids is even more constantly available :) For diners you can get away from the crowd by booking for the 'special' diners . Same kitchen, same taste, you don't get to choose from dozens of food, you get what they prepare, but there is no crowd. Simple tradeoff. We were in a suite w sea view - it was ok, first room on the corridor, we had like 90 degrees view. -: There are mosquitos. Not a lot, but red haired white skinned kids can suffer a bit from them. The hotel is applying gas to control the mosquito population but additionaly nets would be nice on the terrace doors. Food is what you can get when there are hundreds of people on all inclusive. That simply requieres a food factory. There was no food of dubious quality, sometimes the tastes were not to our liking, yet you trully have a wide range of dishes to choose from. So it wasn't a fine dining experience but it was totally ok and sometimes even more. Drinks are not the best. The all inclusice includes wines and beer which we tried only once and opted for the extras after that (bottled beer and wine from the a la carte menu). But it was not expensive at all so even if you are a bit pricky, like we were, you won't have to spend a lot. The half day camel riding program is a disaster. They take you to the outskirts of the next town where is a LOT of rubbish everywhere. It was like touring in a garbage dump. Outside the hotel the country is, well, not too nice. Garbage heaps, garbage, shredding and flaking plastic, and some more garbage. :( Unfinished buildings, half demolished buildings, etc. So the hotel is like a totally different world. The sea and the pools were a bit cold in mid June. A bit. Good between 11 and 4, not particularly inviting when the sun was otherwise not shone strongly. The sand on the beach on one hand is superb, yet there is some debris from construction! Pieces of broken brick. But not covered with it, only some. The so called amusement programmes are tooo loud. We were running away from it every time it started, they turned up the bass and played some techno - but we are a family prefering quite environment. Also there was a part of the evening program that was meant to be entertaining, but it was very very strong for us - the joke was that a male member of the staff dressed up as a woman, and they called 4 ladies on stage who had to walk and look sexy, etc. But again - you don't have to go there. Brilliant hotel the best I have ever stayed at. And I could eat to my hearts content due to the restaurant manager being so helpful and understanding of my allergy. I felt very looked after by all of the staff. All staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are always cleaned to a high standard every day. The food is flavoursome and plentiful. The hotel is clean and looked after. Admittedly the pool tables could need a make over. But that’s about it. I cannot thank the restaurant manager enough as I was able to eat lots of many different foods. The last hotel I stayed at In Tunisia limited me to certain foods due to the head chef or anybody there having any interest in my serious Nut allergy. So I cannot thank him enough for providing me with fabulous puddings every time I visited. I know I’ve banged on about the food a lot but in an all exclusive you want the food as well as the booze? Rami restaurant waiter lovely guy. Always helpful funny and friendly. Only downside from my point was the other suited managers that were always hanging around looking glum watching the hard working staff and doing little else. But hey that’s a manager for ya.? Anyway 10/10 with everything.

Monastir has a beautiful view. The castle on the slopes is a bird's eye view of the curved beaches and piers filled with hundreds of yachts and sailboats. A few hundred meters from the castle to the city center is the Medina surrounded by the ancient city walls. Our Marina Cap Monastir-Apart’hotel is located on the other side of the castle castle. From the door of the room, you can see the light blue and white boats and masts in the levee. At the outermost end of the levee, there are three lighthouses of different colors, which play the role of finishing touches, making the picturesque scenery more perfect. The hotel and other hotels are white-walled blue window doors that look beautiful and elegant against the blue sea and blue sky. Although it is located at the pier, the hotel is safer and the traffic passes through the security checkpoint. The security guard of the office proposed to get on the bus to the hotel and take us to the lobby. Then, go back. Say you want to tip, but you can't come out; say you want to help, there is no smile from beginning to end; say security, he will not let go when he walks in other cars... In short, some are puzzling. Hotel facilities are good, but there are kettles and toasters better; WIFI is not strong enough, the room and room are different; there is a range hood, but the effect is not enough, even if the soup, the fragrance is mostly left in the room. From the Apartment, we can see the yachts and ships, with the colors of white and baby-blue, And three light-houses standing on the dykes, which makes the view perfect.

I had the worst facial trea**ent ever in this hotel ‘hotel hasdrubal thalassa spa’. There was no explanation about the trea**ent or the products, the chair was uncomfortable and I was under the steamer for about 20 min that was too hot and too close to my face. The woman left and came back later, then applied a mask and again left the room for about 20 min. Normally in the mean time they massage your hands or feet but now I pay 80 euro to be left alone in the room for most of the time with just a steamer and a mask. The water was cold and normally for comfort they use a hot towel or cottons to remove products. After the trea**ent my skin felt really sticky… I said this immediately to the spa manager but he didn’t reply anything. Not a sorry or any explanation.. I understand that every country has his own way of trea**ents but you would not expect this from a 5 star hotel. I did had a good experience in the hammam! It was clean and the trea**ent was nice. But I definitely not recommend the facial trea**ents.

Great Vacation come with a great hotel, what a holiday! Amazing place and amazing people great room and a quality service! Hoping to come back and enjoy this beautiful country once again and this time with more days to stay! What a trip man!!!

While a bit difficult to find within the medina's winding streets, the hotel is a lovely, hidden gem that both me and my father loved. You're greeted by the lovely owner with two small kittens that are just adorable. Our room was well furnished, air conditioned and had a very clean bathroom. The roof terrace offers a great view of the Sousse skyline and Medina and is perfect at night to enjoy the call to prayers. Breakfast was served in the main court area of the hotel. Very nicely decorated and the breakfast was very traditional. Nothing too heavy, but still filling nonetheless. You know care and love went into making it.
