The best part of this place is the location, right behind YUY Hotel at the junction of Paifang Street (Taiping Rd) and Xima Road. You can just walk a few minutes to Kaiyuan Temple, Guangji Gate and Guangji Bridge. At 5.30pm, they remove the pontoons in the middle of the bridge and at 8pm, there is a light show. Food is abundantly found in the surrounding streets. Access to this hotel is via the 2 lanes beside YUY Hotel from Paifang street or Xima Road. The boss and his wife communicate in Mandarin, so Google translate will come in handy. Before checking in, you need to inform the inn of the time of arrival so that the boss can meet you. We were given a key card and complete freedom to go in and out anytime. The place is quiet and very clean. It is also quite new. Amenities are good quality, towels and bedding all good. Perfect for an independent traveller. Hosts are friendly and helpful. There is a washing machine and place for drying clothes on the rooftop. If you come from Chaosan train station, take bus K2 and stop at the Central Hospital opposite West Lake and walk to the inn in about 10-15mins. Make sure you have WeChat installed in your phone to communicate with the host.

The inn was very traditional on the outside, but really modern in the rooms. The outside of the inn is perfect for travelers who like to take photos. The cleanliness of the room was very good; not a spot of dirt was to seen. The location of the inn is very convenient. We have easy access to a lot of tourist attractions nearby, along with a wide variety of traditional delicacies to choose from. The rooms at the inn was also very quiet. For those light sleepers, you will not get any disturbance when sleeping as we can’t hear a sound when sleeping. Neither the sound of the motorbike nor the shouting of people can be heard. Apart from that, the host was very friendly he happily pointed out different tourist attractions nearby and how to get to and fro easily. He also poured us cups of tea while talking about China’s history. Those who are interested in that, you could ask the host to tell you about China’s history and he would be happy to tell you all about it! Overall the experience was very good and I will definitely come back when I go to China next time!

The host and staff are friendly and helpful. We were offered tea and snacks on arrival. Our host provided recommendations for local foods and places of interest. The rooms were comfortable, clean and tidy. The environment was tranquil. The old town and main road were within walking distance. Our host assisted with booking a taxi with ample boot space as we had several pieces of luggage. We would be happy to stay here again when we visit Chaozhou.

👉房間跟老闆上傳的圖很符合，不是照騙，而且衞生做得很好，設備也都很新。要是在廣濟橋通橋時間的話從民宿走過去上橋去古城那邊其實挺方便的。 👉從進民宿門口開始就感覺到老闆很熱愛生活，把民宿佈置得很温馨，天台的露台真的太棒啦，還可以泡茶喝，欣賞江景，內心都感覺到節奏慢下來了很舒適，很喜歡這樣的生活環境。 ✌️老闆很熱情好客，人很好，一起喝茶聊天很巴適，下次來還要來住哈哈

A little difficult to find as the taxi is unable to go to the hotel at certain times n need a short walk from xia Shui men..... About 3 mins walk. Hotel is rustic deco. Clean n conveniently located near the pai fang street (3 min walk) and the bridge is about 8 mins walk. Not used to the disposable towels that are provided.... Don't seem to absorb water. Reception is frdly and will invite u to join them for tea. Food is plenty on the pai fang street. The beef hot pot on the way just b4 pai fang was pretty good. There is a porridge place at nan qiao side opp the big hotels that was good

A newly renovated boutique hotel managed by a friendly and helpful couple, we took the direct tour bus (one stop at RMB15 for around an hour ride) from the ChaoShan High Speed Station, walked towards for around 5 minutes and turned right to the entrance of the Chaozhou Ancient City, walked from the 600 block to the 300 block (no cars from 9:00 am) along the Archway Street, arrived at the hotel entrance on the left, there was an elevator to the 2nd floor. Location is closed to many attractions and food options, room is clean and modern with strong AC, disposable towels, AI toilet (automatically open, close and flush with warmed seat cover). There were random performance in front of the hotel at night and the lady hostess knocked on each room doors to notify their guests to watch. After watching the light show at Guangji Bridge, we just walked back to the hotel. We walked around in the morning before the crowd and went back for AC in the afternoon. Highly recommend and will definitely stay at this hotel again when we visit Chaozhou again.

The host was really friendly and helpful. She saw that we were going to stay there for 4 nights and took the initiative to upgrade us to a larger room with one more extra bed and closer to the laundry facility. That was a pleasant surprise when we checked in. Straight after checking in, she made some Chinese tea where we sat and she briefed us on the places to visit. Gave us her WeChat which we can contact her anytime if we needed any help. Everything was great and the kids loved it so much. They have electric bikes where you can rent and it was awesome. We rented the bikes and rode all over the old quarters (highly recommended). I did not check the price of others but my wife told me the rates that they charge are cheaper than the E-bike rental shop at Xima Road. They sold Chinese tea as well which turned out to be pretty competitive as far as pricing is concerned. You'd pay alot more if you purchased tea at the pedestrian shopping strip (Ancient City) nearby. Location was fantastic! Near to the entrance of Xima Road where you could either turn left and walk towards the Ancient city or right where you can walk to Xinqiao Road (many boutique shops there). There are a tonne of food stalls and restaurants there all within short walking distance and a 24hr minimart nearby. Note that this is a homestay where everything is more relaxed and informal so don't expect hotel type of house keeping. Amenities and mineral water are placed at the foyer and you can grab as much as you need. They use disposable towels which may take getting used to if you haven't used one but the up side is that hygiene is guaranteed, and I'm happy with that. Overall, it was a great experience staying there and we will certainly stay there again on our next trip.
