"Very good location! Getting to the main village is pretty far from bus and car drop off at the tourist ticketing counter. You will have to take a bus and buggy in so carry light or something manageable as you will have to push them through uneven stones. Once you’re at the village, the hotel is just a few steps from the scenic drop off point. Hotel staff is friendly, we were offered a complimentary cocktail drink and ethnic clothing rental at another outlet 50m away. It’s also near an ethnic clothing rental shop (it’s good, we’ve tried them), restaurant and village buggy point. We were grateful we’ve booked this place as we don’t have to push our luggages around further. Room was clean, aesthetic, with a good view of a plantation. "I'd like to share my impressions of my stay at this hotel. Firstly, the hotel is very new and designer inside. The view of the village is, I'd say, the best in the area. First things first: the hotel offers a butler service, and when you arrive at the attraction, a butler will meet you and take your luggage. You don't have to bother walking to the bus, which is quite a distance, and the entire scenic area is on a mountain, requiring constant climbing. The hotel is also located on a hillside, so getting to it requires a climb up narrow steps. The butler carried my luggage and accompanied me the entire time. The walk from the entrance to the hotel took about 25 minutes, including the bus and the walk. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was greeted at reception and offered afternoon tea; there were five drinks on the menu. I chose a milk oolong tea with milk, and they offered me fruit, nuts, and homemade cookies. It was delicious. I spent the entire time relaxing, drinking tea, and enjoying the village views. After I'd rested, I went to my room. I was given a room on the 4th floor with the lucky number 888. The room has absolutely everything: excellent Loccitan cosmetics, toiletries, robes, and slippers—everything is of very good quality. There's also a modern hairdryer and steam iron. There was a bath on the balcony, but I didn't use it because it was chilly. The room is really new; it has underfloor heating if you get cold, and also air conditioning. The bed linen, pillows, and blanket were wonderful. I didn't even notice how my night passed; I truly rested for the two nights I stayed at this hotel. The hotel staff explained how I could spend my time and took me to a restaurant where I could have a delicious meal. Then I went for a walk. I spent the entire evening strolling around the village and taking in the sights. That evening, when I returned, I was offered evening soup, which I really enjoyed; it was very unusual. Since I was a foreign tourist, the hotel staff communicated with me using a translator via WeChat, which was very convenient and prevented any misunderstandings. The next morning, I was offered breakfast, which was served on the first floor of the hotel. The dining room was also very beautiful and well-renovated. After breakfast, I went for a walk around the village to take beautiful photos. I had a wonderful time in the village, taking in the sights. I especially enjoyed the local people's show on New Year's Eve, as well as the singing of the women and men of the Miao people. The day before my departure, the hotel staff asked what time my return tickets to Guiyang would be and told me they would arrange for me to be transported to the entrance so I could call a taxi. I would give this hotel the highest rating, firstly because it's in a wonderful location on a mountain with a magnificent view, and literally a three-minute walk from the main observation deck. I would also give the highest rating to the hotel personnel, and especially to the butler his wechat name Velpro, they are all tried their best to help me and accompanied me on all my questions. I would also give the highest rating to the hotel owners, who care about the interior order, cleanliness, and the care of their guests. This level of hospitality is truly rare. If I return to this village, I will definitely stay at this hotel. I recommend it to everyone."

"I can count Lanxi as one of my favourite hotels ever. The location, though we had to walk up the hill a bit provides the best view of the Xijiang Miao Village. The staff is truly unbelievably helpful and kind. When my husband who wanted to have our meals delivered, the 2 ladies at the front desk helped to get it done. The 2 gentlemen who brought and carried our luggage, made our latte did so with a smile . A big thank you to all of you. The room we were in had a terrace, the perfect way to admire the night view and the early morning sunrise. I did not want to leave the place."

One of the most unique highlights is the rooftop photoshoot service—the backdrop is absolutely spectacular, and the photos turned out unbelievably beautiful. Overall, despite the slightly tricky journey, the combination of personalized service, charming rooms, and unforgettable experiences makes this hotel a true hidden gem."

"Butler Xiaoyou was assigned to meet us at the scenic gate. He is very polite, warm & friendly, he carried our 2 big luggage down the stairs & up the bus & tram. Hotel boss upgraded us to the Suite room on the top floor with panaromic view of Miao Village, additional complimentary afternoon tea set & supper green beans soup. Full basket of fruits & bag of snacks, free mini fridge drinks. Butler Xiaoyou sent us off to the gate by carrying our 2 big luggage & 2 bags of Chinese tea. Excellent Service. Highly recommended this hotel if you don't mind to climb the stairs for the panoramic view."

"This hotel offers one of the most stunning views of the entire Miao Village — sunrise, sunset, and night views are all breathtaking. Truly magical. The hotel is located at Guan Jing Tai (Viewpoint Terrace). Be prepared for a bit of walking from the sightseeing bus station, or if you enter from Bridge No. 5, it will be an uphill climb. But the moment you reach the hotel, you’ll understand that the view is absolutely worth the effort. Room amenities are tip-top. Everything is well-maintained, clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Service is exceptionally good. Special mention to 小云, who made our stay so warm and memorable. He welcomed us at the West Gate, helped carry heavy luggage up the hill, and the team even prepared a welcome drink, afternoon tea set, supper drink, breakfast, and a little farewell souvenir. We felt genuinely cared for throughout the stay. Some people say the Miao Village becomes boring after the day crowd leaves, but that’s only because they don’t stay overnight here. Staying at this hotel lets you experience the true beauty and tranquility of the village. Highly recommended — come for the view, stay for the experience"

"We picked Wu Wei hotel after reading the positive reviews online and we’re so glad to have spent 2 nights here exploring XiJiang Miao Village. Hotel is super organised and butler xiao qi (管家小飞）contacted us the day before arrival to organise our stay. There’s two options for getting into the scenic area 1. Scenic bus which is covered by the entry ticket but takes 30-40 mins to get to the hotel via scenic route and you will need to line up/wait for other passengers. 2. We took the VIP route which is 50 rmb per person and takes us direct to the hotel (10 mins) which is located right next to the main viewing platform. 小七organised transportation from the main gate and picked us up/carried our suitcases (both on arrival and departure) He is just the sweetest! Hotel is new as it’s only built last year and is designed for the aesthetic eye. We booked the 270 degree room with a terrace and I highly recommend this option as it’s the only room in the hotel that has balcony views. It’s seriously an amazing sight and waking up to this every morning is incredible! Both breakfast and afternoon tea were also fabulous! Highly highly recommend - 5 stars all the way 🙂"

"The location of the hotel is perfect, near the look out platform and the shuttle bus stop in the front. You can have the best view of the Miao village. You can see both the night view and the foggy morning view from your room and do not need to go out. The coattails there is good too. The staff 胡胡 who took good care of us and was very helpful and responsive. Highly recommended 👍"
