My Wife and I wanted a relaxing break in the sun so we booked this hotel as it offered the Honeymoon Suite which was self contained with private pool. On our arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who helped to check us in and then we were taken too our suite in a buggy by a very friendly Porter who took care of our cases while we looked around our amazingly spacious and beautiful Suite. We couldn't get over the size of our suite including the pool outside eating area and two chill out areas not forgetting the outstanding views over the Mediterranean Sea. The service and friendliness of all the staff was always welcoming including Stelios Who always asked how we were and how our day had been. The Restaurant staff always welcomed us and were there for what ever we needed including Artemis, Katerina Maria and Giorgos. The Bar staff Giaumis and the two Giorgos' were always friendly and happy to make any cocktail we asked for and even the Flaming Sambucas that were impressive. Cristian was so friendly and came and sat with us for chats and even card games Such a nice Guy Well done in your first season in Crete. We Were treated two a bottle of bubbly and a selection of fruit just a day into our stay also a few days later a selection of sweet pastries and two bottles of Raki which was an experience in its self. The day before our departure we received a complimentary bottle of wine which was also a nice touch. Our Cleaners were so nice and friendly and kept our suite clean and also the outside space such hard workers.Thank you Ladies ! The Staff on reception led by Michalitsa were always on hand to help with anything from bus timetables to printing off our forms and much more. Back to our Suite we cant say enough great things about this it was the best we have ever had the pleasure to stay in everything was spot on and the views including the sunsets were amazing. On our last day we were given a goodie bag by Michalitsa which was such a nice touch and the bag with all the names on and the card as well so nice Thank you. Dimitris you have a wonderful Hotel and Spa and your Staff are a true Credit to you. A Big Thank you to all of you for making our stay at MR&MRS WHITE an enjoyable and relaxing one.

Hotel location is very good, a few minutes walk from the old town, breakfast is very good, the front desk service is also very good, the room is not big, but the design is very reasonable, there is a balcony, blowing, very comfortable

We visited this well run hotel - 19th - 27th September - all the staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. Our room 406 was very well appointed and bed very comfortable. Airconditioned which we used when the nights were hot. Housekeeping did an excellent job. The hotel is in a good position, just moments walk to the Old Town, and a 12-15 minute to the nearest beach. Breakfast excellent choices of hot & cold food, with local selection of cakes, savoury and sweet Cretin pies. Local selection of bread and large selection of unusual jams and breakfast spreads. I would like to thank personally Nikos (Food & Beverage Manager)- for his friendship and ensuring that our breakfast meal was being enjoyed. He spoke to us personally each morning and he gave us some good information of places to visit outside Chania. Also I would like to thank - Emmanuella (Front of House- Reception)- again her friendship and she would also talk to us every time we passed the front desk. She again gave us very valuable information of places to visit, and organised taxi's and booked a day-trip by coach and boat. Emmanuella was again very polite, helpful yet professional, and helped make our holiday most memorable. A big thank you also to Necteria (breakfast server)- every morning she spoke to us, and remembered our breakfast order, she was so kind and helpful. We would certainly return to Samaria Hotel, and would recommend without hesitation - we have some lovely memories. Hotel has a good swimming pool,

Size isn't everything. It's not a big resort, so you can expect smaller/fewer pools and bars etc .. However, it's more intimate and tucked away in a lovely village called Kalyves you can stroll around, nicely located on an lovely beach. We never had any issues at all during our stay, and there was a good holiday a**osphere. The food options were better than I thought. You had a range of coffee/teas, juice/water and pastries, bread, egg, meat and salads and fruit/cereal for breakfast. Lunch and dinner buffets were served 1-3pm and from 7pm onwards and there was fish/meat salad, rice/pasta, chips and plenty of food plus assorted desserts. There wasn't a huge variety day to day, but it genuinely kept all of us happy and satisfied. We only once ate outside the hotel and that was because of a day trip. Above expectation buffet food is what I'd call it. The Kalyves staff were all helpful and professional. There was evening entertainment in the form of a disco/quiz and local music and Cretan dancers, we even had a belly dancer one night, which seemed to fascinate the children and older men alike. Most of the guests seemed to head to bed by 10pm so it's not a party hotel. We never heard any partying late in the night or had any noise issues. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and promptly cleaned daily if requested. In our room we also had a fridge which was handy, a mini-balcony which overlooked the small estuary and Sea. I can confirm the Wifi speed was reliable, but not super fast at around 5MBPS. Fortunately, if you use mobile data I had great speeds for 4G, so used that most of the time. We had the All-Inclusive Plus package, which means you get a different colour wristband and get access to premium drinks. This meant you could go and ask for a Mojito or a Pina Colada or Screwdriver and get the branded alcohol. That being said the standard cocktails were quite nice anyway. I'll never be a fan of Cretan beer, but it's on tap you can help yourself, plus wine etc .. My partner particularly enjoyed the Aperol Spritz. There is a small indoor pool and gym, and we found this handy for our son who can't yet swim, and it was never busy in there, almost like a private pool at times, but only about a metre deep (yes, there is a lifeguard). The outdoor pools are small and were a bit cold in May, but refreshing. The best thing is the beach and the loungers are just feet away from the drinks bar, and we found ourselves mixing pool and beach time with ease. There's outdoor showers if you want to wash your feet. You can also have a lovely stroll along the beach and there's some nice shops, restaurants and cocktail bars nearby, you can even walk 10 minutes and be at the marina where we had a nice cruise with Kalyves Cruises (nice guys who spoke English and took us on a tour for about 4 hours, with stops for swimming and snorkelling with a little bit of history thrown in). Not far away, about 10 minutes by car/taxi is their sister resort (much bigger) call

Fantastic room in boiserie with views on the Venetian port of Chania. Super courteous staff. Very central location in the ZTL, taxis do not arrive there and a walk with baggage must be taken into account, although at arrival it was told me that the hotel offers a reception service at the taxi post and baggage transportation.

thank you for a pleasent stay, upgrande of our room and gluten and lactose free meal supply. Animators Carla and Lauda were our favourite ones and our daughter talk about them even we already returned back to home. For her absolutely fantastic holiday. I can´t also forget to mention the Magic Circus Show and the French protagonists. They makes their job so profesional and makes the people smily and happy. That was absolutely good choice of the hotel managers to choose them !! Fingers up who sign them. From our point of view everything was fine. From the very beginning the owner welcomed us with such care. The place itself it’s located perfectly outside the rush of people but yet still so close to the city of Chania (8/10mins by car). The establishment is super nice and well kept surrounded by bamboo and olive trees. The rooms are near each other and most of them are overlooking the pool. Room itself was very very clean and towels,bedsheets,products were smelling really nice. You can see that the place is well maintained and taken very good care of! It’s also PET FRIENDLY with stray cats(which you’ll see either in the morning or at night without even bothering you) another reason why we booked this establishment as we brought our own dog which was well accepted without any additional costs or useless comments. Our holiday is still ongoing as we booked for 5 days but it’s a must to leave a positive comment to such a beautiful place and people. To who ever sees this post don’t think twice and just book it! You’ll see us DEFINITELY again! Thanks for hosting us. I.Z
