"The room was very hot after being exposed to the sun all day, and they didn't even allow me to open the windows for ventilation. The front desk was difficult to reach, and the deposit refund was a particularly bad experience, requiring two requests before it was actually returned. The door didn't have a locking mechanism, which didn't feel very secure. The room was surrounded by curtains, which didn't provide much privacy. Furthermore, the whole environment felt like a public garden, accessible to everyone. You're paying a lot for no privacy."

"Everyone should come and stay here! The owners are an angel. We arrived on Chinese New Year's Eve, and they cooked us New Year's Eve dinner. The next day, they provided an incredibly delicious breakfast, and they even gave us a discount on entrance fees to Mount Bals with our accommodation certificate. When we went out to stargaze that night, the owners were waiting for us. The next day, they told us the best spot for sunrise. What an amazing family!"

"The biggest advantage is that the scenic area shuttle bus is right outside the door, and there's a door from the front desk leading to the visitor center. You can book a guide before breakfast, and then go directly into the scenic area when they open at 8:30. That afternoon, it snowed lightly at Mati Temple, which was perfect for us southerners – we could see snow without it being too cold. We took lots of photos and even had a snowball fight! It was so much fun. When the snow got heavier, we stayed in our room and looked at the distant Qilian Mountains – amazing! After resting, we went to the restaurant for dinner at 6:30 PM. The 168 yuan meal for four included two meat dishes, three stir-fried vegetables, and a soup – the portions were huge, we couldn't finish it all! We specifically asked for no spice. Even though it was the off-season, we were the only ones having dinner, but the food was still quite good, and the service was excellent. They even gave us an extra breakfast. We checked out late at 3 PM, taking our time exploring Mati Temple – perfect!"

"I really liked this guesthouse. It was very new, the staff were very welcoming, and the environment was fantastic. I initially thought it would be difficult to drive through the scenic area, but surprisingly, I could drive right up to the guesthouse. The standard rooms had a better view, and there was only one double room. The only downside was that the canopy in the double room let in a lot of light; I was woken up by the glare at 7 am! I rarely write reviews, so I hope the price won't be higher next time I come."

"The room was really clean! I used to think B&Bs were just okay and didn't have high hopes, but I was pleasantly surprised when I checked in. The decor was quite new, even the grout lines looked fresh, and there was a smart toilet. It would've been even better if there was a shelf in the shower, as I realized the shower gel was outside after I'd stripped down, which was a bit inconvenient (scratches head). The mattress was comfortable too, I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to try the food, which I heard was quite good. Getting to the 33 Caves in the morning was super fast; we were already on the bus while the first group of people was just arriving. We saw blue eared pheasants and marmots randomly along the way. I heard there are pikas in the caves, but we didn't encounter any."

"The guesthouse is right next to the Sword-Split Rock, so I recommend arriving early to allow for two days of sightseeing in the area. It features smart home technology, parking, and spacious rooms. During the off-season, you can even get a free room upgrade. If your budget allows, I highly recommend the family room and the mountain-view room. The family room has floor-to-ceiling windows on two walls, so you can watch the sunrise from bed! The mountain-view room offers stunning views of the snow-capped mountains. The stars at night are absolutely amazing. Breakfast is also great; the potatoes were delicious. I even saw some groundhogs fighting behind the guesthouse! It's currently in its soft opening phase, so it's not crowded and the prices are reasonable. Hurry and experience it now!"

"To be fair, the landlady was fine; her service was excellent, and the location was convenient. However, the environment was absolutely terrible. There was a small gate to a large courtyard on the first floor, and three huge flies were swarming around the entrance. I had to swat them all over the place at night. The sheets also had black spots and weren't very clean. The toilet smelled terrible all night; it was separated from the room by an aluminum alloy door, and the smell was right next to the bed. If you're a girl who's particular about cleanliness, don't skimp on this place; you won't be able to handle it. I didn't sleep a wink all night."
