Definitely an excellent hotel. Lovely people, clean room, great location…everything is just perfect. I could easily walk to China Town, Darling Harbour, Opera House and many other tourist spots around the city, of cause train stations and metro stations as well. Highly recommend it.

This hotel is a bit far from the Sydney city. Didn’t like the location TBh. Not recommended.

The staff were helpful and courteous. The room had a good view of the airport and the chaos of the ground handlers as they moved aircraft. Less than a minute’s walk to the airport. The food was the sort you would expect in a decent bistros. The convenience and availability of the guests washing machine and dryer was outstanding. Ok the place wasn’t brand new and many guests used room service merely leaving their dirty plates outside their bedroom doors which was unsightly.

The location was perfect next to the China Town & convenient to CBD. Only 15-20mins transportation to Sydney airport. I checked around 00:00, only One staff at the front desk, he seemed tired & his hand writing was terrible, the WiFi PW did not work & no one answer the phone when I dial from room. Next day, another helpful staff wrote the correct PW for me. The room was spacious but no enough desk area, the bed was comfy. The hygiene was unacceptable specially the toilet. The cleaning staff only clean twice during my 5 nights stay , the hair was sticked on the ceiling , molds were terrible in the shower area. The hotel need to enhance the cleaning & interior environment work. Overall this hotel was not worthy for the price I paid. Disappointed.

Pros: Very good location, good deal for the secure public car park that is located in the same building. Very good professional service. Rooms are cleaned well. Cons: beds are not comfortable - we had a king size bed which in reality was just two joint mattresses. The mattresses are very soft and uncomfortable. The duvet has no cover and is simply folded inside two bed sheets. It would have been ok but the duvet has stains so overall not pleasant to sleep under. The sleep quality during our stay was not the best. However overall the hotel is very good for the price.

My family of 3 checked in early around noon. We stayed at a lovely 1 bedroom apartment on e 2nd level with a balcony which overlooks e street below. Apartment was spacious, amenities provided were sufficient though one could request for more when necessary. What we loved best was e location which was so convenient for us to check out different places of Sydney. We ended up walking to our destinations most of e time while enjoying e weather and scenery. There was ample food choices all around e hotel too. Apart from a busier and noisier street during e weekend, which usually dies down by midnight, my family and I had a great stay in Rydges.

Upon arrival the room smelled like stale cigarettes and stagnant water which was extremely unpleasant. I had to prop the door open with my suitcase to get fresh air in with the window open. I ended up going to the supermarket to buy carpet deodoriser and air freshener to get the smell out. I could still smell it when I left after 2 days. When I went to get into bed it was very obvious the bed had been slept in and the pillowcase had not been changed. I had to strip the bed and make it with what was left over with the sheet that goes over the doona. I know it was NYE and paid over $600 a night for the room, but wasn’t expecting the room to not smell ok and have fresh linen.

Rydges Sydney Central is a comfortable, well-located hotel near Central Station, making it very convenient for getting around Sydney. The rooms are spacious and clean, make it a solid, good-value stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my overnight stay at Rudy’s North Sydney. The lovely man who checked me into the Hotel was so helpful. The following morning the host of the breakfast restaurant was also very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Rooms are renovated with nice products.

Parking is private pay which wasn't clearly mentioned at reception.
