First, the hotel is only great because of its hardware, the view, the name and the area. The service is disappointing upon my arrival.
I checked in at 1pm and a girl with short hair at the reception was very unwelcoming. She also said it was a company policy to charge hotel guests extra if we were to check in at 1 pm, since the official check-in time was 3 pm. This is the first time in my life I heard that a hotel has this kind of arrangement. She didn't even say "sorry for your inconvenience" whatsoever.
I came back at 10 pm that day and was greeted by a young guy with glasses who was absolutely rude. I showed him a ticket to get our bags, and I politely said, "Oh we haven't got our card".
He replied saying, "Of course! you haven't checked in, haha".
I do not understand what is so funny, and at the moment he wasn't being funny at all. I felt discriminated because I'm an Asian.
Truth is I've already checked in and I only need the key to my room, so I don't quite know what his intention was. Then I was only given one card. That was appalling. We have four people staying and why would I only have one hotel card? As I asked the guy to give me one more card, he rudely said "read the conditions yourself", which said that I'll have to pay if I lose an extra card. You could've just kindly say "please be aware we need to charge extra if you lose it". The way he put it was very rude and that gave me and my family a very rough time that night.
On top of that, the moment I checked, the reception staff should have been giving me details about the hotel, the wifi, checkin checkin time etc., but he refused to speak more. I was very upset with these two people' service on that night.
