"This was a relaxing and quiet place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable. However, dinner wasn't available, and there was only one nearby restaurant, which was a bit inconvenient for those who wanted to have a drink. Breakfast was optional. It was mainly an egg-over-rice dish, but the other side dishes were simple yet delicious."

"In front of me is the Fujiwara Ski Resort Hotel. I imagined it must have been bustling with the ski resort boom from the Showa era to the bubble era. The facilities are old and have a Showa feel, and the rooms creak in places, but they are clean and no longer bother me. I chose Tsukishizuku no Yu for a plan that allows you to use the private open-air bath for free for 40 minutes, and the artificial waterfall is well made and wonderful. I went up to the middle of the slope in a slightly out-of-place yukata (apparently they no longer provide car transportation), and the open-air bath is like an open-air bath with only a simple changing area. The warm water in the nature is so pleasant that I wanted to soak in it for as long as I wanted. The meal was an elaborate kaiseki meal with plenty of ingredients from Joshu. For dinner, we had Joshu beef sukiyaki, Joshu pork teppanyaki, and other dishes that were delicious and filled me up. For breakfast, the tofu made from soy milk was delicious. I wish there was a hot spring* if possible. All the staff were young, kind, and nice. Thank you for booking a shuttle to Minakami Station and taking into consideration the route and time to the station for me on the way back. It was very helpful. I was able to relax both physically and mentally and it was a great memory. I would like to come back again."

Sasanoyu

"I stayed here to catch the first train of the Mt. Shirane Ropeway. It has a cozy, old-fashioned inn feel. The room was just the right size, but the refrigerator and toilet were shared. There were no yukatas provided. The hot spring leaves your skin smooth. The water is lukewarm, so you need to soak for at least 15 minutes to warm up. There was a kerosene heater. As it's in the middle of nature, there were stink bugs in the room. There was a 7-Eleven about a 5-minute drive away."

Nakaya Ryokan

"A wonderful place to experience Japanese culture, hospitality and cuisine. This accommodation is a place to remember for many years to come. I would advise anyone coming to visit Japan to stay in this hotel. "

Onsen Theme Park Ryuudou

"I made a reservation for breakfast and dinner during the Obon holiday period. A few days after making the reservation, I received a call saying that they were overbooked and could only offer me a room without meals. They emphasized that the room-only price was quite cheap, but there didn't seem to be anything around the hotel, and they made a very assertive statement saying that they would keep the room ready for me if I opted for room-only. I was furious at their condescending attitude on the phone, as it was their own management mistake that they could only offer me a room without meals. It was the worst service I've ever experienced. Of course, I canceled and decided to stay at another hotel."

Minakami Onsen KKR Hotel Minakami Suimeiso

"The building is solid, though the facilities are a bit old. I stayed there as a visitor, as it's apparently a facility primarily for government employees. Perhaps it's unavoidable since I was a visitor, but meals were served in my room. The food was very delicious. For bathing, I recommend the small family bath next to the large public bath. I think it's a free-flowing hot spring."

Minakami Onsengo Yubiso Onsen Hotel Yunojin

Minakamisansou

"This is a genuine free-flowing spring that you can drink. It is completely different from the usual "self-proclaimed free-flowing springs". I had high expectations because I read in a book that they put a lot of effort into the food, but it seems like an old story, perhaps because the cook is different from before. The current head chef is from Kyushu, so the food is like that. The food was... for the price. In terms of taste and content. However, the quality of the spring water is so excellent that it makes up for that. Also, I don't want to tell you about it here, so I can't write about it, but if you have a certain hobby, there is a great treat for you. So, I will definitely be returning."

Houshi Onsen Chojukan

"We chose Hoshi Onsen on a whim, but we were impressed by how much larger it was and the atmospheric atmosphere. The staff and Nakai-san were all very nice and we felt very comfortable there. The hot springs were also very pleasant. We went home saying that we want to go back next year."

Kinseikan Seseragi
