We had a queen bed and a pullout sofa for our family of 4 adults. This was sufficient. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were very flat. The room was clean spacious. The bathroom was small. The hotel employees and owners were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. We went to the wrong hotel and they helped up get to the correct one easily. There is only someone at the hotel in the mornings for breakfast. You must get a key out of a lock box for your room, they email this information to you. Breakfast was nice: hard boiled eggs, pastries, meat and cheese, bread and rolls, jam and honey, tomatoes, capers, etc. Breakfast is included in the price of the room and there is free parking. This was our second visit to Ljubjana, we would stay here again, but if it is your first visit I would suggest some place closer to the city center. If you do not have a car and parking is not an issue there are plenty of places near the town center, but be aware they are expensive. With a car parking is an issue, the Hotel Vila Katrca was a good compromise.

Some good recommendations nearby (walking distance) for restaurants as we couldn't eat within the premises, the F&B staff was on holiday!

Good location for getting to Ljubliana, or catching the freeway for excursions. Free parking onsite!! Rooms were good and had all the basics. If you can upgrade to a suite, they are great. Sauna was hot, clean and not another person in sight. Breakfast has many options, both hot and cold. Omelets can be made to order and are served hot! One morning we were surprised with octopus ”carpaccio” - delicious. The best surprise was when we were not motivated to leave the hotel for dinner - so we tried the Robin Restaurant - the hotel's main restaurant. We were hesitant but found all of the food freshly prepared and at a high level of quality. The service was excellent too and our server knew the menu and dish contents as if she herself were preparing the plates! The prices were very reasonable for the food that was served - on hot plates - as it should be! Highly recommended!!

Our accommodations were absolutely perfect. Availability for 3 traveler’s single beds was really helpful for us, the rooms very clean and smelled very good. The hotel staff were so kind to us and last minute adjusted for a late check in because our train got severely delayed. The free breakfast was also very good and had lots of offerings, beyond a typical hotel breakfast (even ones we paid for!)

This hotel suited our needs perfectly. It was within walking distance of the centre of Ljubljana, but offered free parking and was in a quiet street. What's more, the breakfast was particularly lavish. Our room turned out to be almost a suite - and all this for a very reasonable price. If you're looking for comfort but no great luxury, this is the ticket. Particular thanks to the staff who were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic.

What's more, the breakfast was particularly lavish. Our room turned out to be almost a suite - and all this for a very reasonable price. If you're looking for comfort but no great luxury, this is the ticket. Particular thanks to the staff who were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic.

The Hotel Vila Katrca is a good value for staying in Ljubjana. It is about a 20 minute walk to Triple Bridge. It has almost a hostel like feel to the hotel. While it was a good value it was definitely not a luxury. The first thing we noticed was a slight smell of cigarette smoke when we entered the room. This lingered our whole stay. We had a queen bed and a pullout sofa for our family of 4 adults. This was sufficient. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were very flat. The room was clean spacious. The bathroom was small. The hotel employees and owners were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. We went to the wrong hotel and they helped up get to the correct one easily. There is only someone at the hotel in the mornings for breakfast. You must get a key out of a lock box for your room, they email this information to you. Breakfast was nice: hard boiled eggs, pastries, meat and cheese, bread and rolls, jam and honey, tomatoes, capers, etc. Breakfast is included in the price of the room and there is free parking. This was our second visit to Ljubjana, we would stay here again, but if it is your first visit I would suggest some place closer to the city center. If you do not have a car and parking is not an issue there are plenty of places near the town center, but be aware they are expensive. With a car parking is an issue, the Hotel Vila Katrca was a good compromise.
