Global Luxury Suites at Capitol Hill

Horrible experience. We were on the first floor - felt like semi basement. Mattresses were horrible and one of the bed frames was broken and we couldn’t get any help from anyone. There is no one on the premises - just some numbers with operators (who knows where they are). They said they will forward our request and nobody called us or reached us. Nobody came to fix the bed. We left next day and now trying to get a refund!

The property is brand new and very modern.Close to Union Station and Metro. No neighborhood coffe shops or restaurants. There were computer problems on check in and no direcction on what to do to get in or where to go. There were 5 of us and they did not provide proper bedding for fold out couch. Not ienough chairs to relax in..only couch and hard table chairs. No information provided if help is needed or for simple things like where to take the trash.

The hotel itself is nice. When we arrived the guy at the desk seemed too busy to deal with all kinds of things but us. I appreciated the dish detergent, the laundry detergent, paper towel. However, the beds were not comfortable, the smell of the toiletries was not great. I left my luggage in the storage room and the lady was on her lunch break and said that she did not have to help me since it was her break that it was the Churchill and not the Revel or something like that. Something needs to be done about the people working at the front desk.

The amenities were sparse, they did not deliver bedding for second bed till day after check in I had to stay at other hotel communication by ******* and Global non existent no washing soap for machine

The actual apartment was great!!! Very spacious and clean and perfect! The people running Global Luxury Suites are absolutely unbearable!!!! They contacted us no less than 10 times in the month prior to our stay. They asked for license and credit card info. Then pics of both. Then more pics. Then more info. Then signatures. We were sick of these people before we ever even left for the trip. The day we were scheduled to check in to 2 rooms, we were touring Jamestown. If you’ve ever been there, you know there is absolutely no cell service. When we are an hour from check in, we notice an email that says credit card declined and one of therefore no code to check into one of the rooms (we already had code for the other room). We had to call numerous times to finally get in touch with someone to help us. He told us the card wasn’t declined and gave us the code…so strange. Also-it’s impossible to swim in the pool. They don’t want you there. It’s lots of young professionals that live in the building and are hanging out by the pool. Not in the pool. The lifeguard made us go get a pass for the pool which took about 30 min. Then when we finally got the kids in the pool, the lifeguard said he was going to have a dinner break in 20 minutes and everyone would have to get out. One last issue is parking. The parking garage feels like it’s 6 miles from the apartment. It’s an absolute ordeal to load and unload anything from the car. Overall-apartment is 5 star-accommodations are 0!

Our room was impeccable clean, we everything you need, however this is not a Hotel with a crew taking care of changing the towel, sheets, etc, fir long stay you need to take care of this. The bed was not comfortable, pillows not so good. Theee is no a receptionist on the lobby what will find is a person working for Revel (Property) that is goinf to tell you upfront he/she have nothing to do with the Global Luxury Suites

Check in is a bit complicated. The Front desk person was not helpful and the customer service was not very good.

Wonderful facility! Confusing how to get in and get through door passes. Maybe give out the latch app before check in

I never received the codes to get into the building or my room so when I arrived, I had to track down someone to provide them to me. The person at the lobby desk told me to go to the 3rd floor office to get them but she could not help me any further as she was not a representative of the hotel but a representative of the leasing office - it is an apartment building that set aside some space as hotel rooms. I went to the office and no one was there. We had just driven 6 hours and had absolutely no way to get into our room. Finally, someone appeared and gave me the codes. Again, she said I should have received them by email, but I didnt. It was very frustrating and nerve wracking. I also requested pool passes - never got them. There was simply no one on the premises to get information. I needed towels and toilet paper and never got them. We were just completely on our own and no way to communicate with anyone managing the hotel rooms. Dont stay here. Its not worth it. And it was not cheap.
