Koala International Youth Hostel and Hotel(Zhongshan Road Walking Street))

You can come to study all kind of bad characteristics of the receptionist. On the 1st day of 8 nights paid before coming here, I have met 2 ladies and 1 man (these 3 do not speak English), bad manner(eye,face)-word-no service mind but a man is not totally these characters. After say bad words, rude manner and then she further is pleasant with her social media. The chinese person in the same room to me confronts these lessons too. The morning after, new roommate (around 35 years old, Chinese language student from Chengdu, "I have visited many hostel, never got this incredible low quality service before") complaints another English speaking reception. Oh, all receptionists of this hostel are the same mindset that the customer is annoying. It's a pity that not parallel to the place. This hostel is in a good location, about 0.5 km to the coast that opposite to Piano island, zhongshan walking street and provide good accomodations. #xiamen

A budgetary choice with least expectation. Suitable for budget travelers and backpackers.

Best place to stay in Xiamen. It’s more hotel than hostel with many rooms. The room have all the basic amenities you name it. Just a minute away from walking street as well from the beach. There is also a coffee shop there. The only downside could be ceiling hight seems a little less.

Checking in was easy, the front desk staff is helpful and there always seems to be someone on duty. The bed has a curtain for privacy, a drawer, and a locked cupboard to store your things. The location is quite convenient, easy to find and close to public transport.

The location is super nice close to the walking street and the beach. Lots of food around there. The stuff is helpful.

Koala hotel was great. It is located just next to the pedestrian street with many shops and restaurants as well as the ocean and ferry terminal being close by. The room was clean and staff were helpful.

I am delighted to book this hotel. Our trip to Xiamen work/play holiday . Location is super convenient, near zhongshan walking street, few min walk to bank, food, shopping mall is around this area. 非常靠近当地人的生活区 Room very clean & spacious for the price we paying Service counter staff and manager were so friendly and very customer oriented, our first time in Xiamen they even prepare cute maps when i ask for directions for nearby clinic/hospital for my wound dressing. We walk from our hotel to 八市 (local older days street market with old style clinic, fresh seafood stall, food stall), really impressed with this area. Amenities also 5star, basic item is available for guests shampoo, body gel, toothbrush, toothpaste, towel and many more. Thanks to Manager Wang & Jackie, we got a free room upgraded and seriously we are very happy to stay in this hotel. Highly recommended to backpackers, family, honeymooners , short business travelers who looking for reasonable accommodation. 非常接地气的酒店

simple basic room, nearby zhongsan pedestrian street, ferry to gulangyu. can also walk to ferry station take bus no 29, u can view the sea along the way , bus fare only CNY1, pay by coin also can. bus no 29 also can reach some other night market along the way, u can get down and visit.

Very nice place ! Very recommended!!! Will be back here for sure!
