"My stay was terrible, I don't understand how this place has such high ratings. First, the cleanliness was unacceptable. The sheets had faint red stains and a tear. The toilet seat had yellow stains, and I had to disinfect it with hot water in the middle of the night. The drawers were filthy and still had items left by previous guests. Basic cleaning wasn't even done. More importantly, I woke up with a burning throat, and when I asked the cleaning lady, she said it might be formaldehyde! The service was also mediocre, and overall, the value for money is extremely low. I don't recommend this place to travelers; book with caution!"

"I stayed in a private bed room this time, not a dormitory. The room was very clean, with no strange smells, and the bathroom and shower were also spotless, with no mold issues. I was on the third floor. It's worth noting that smoking is allowed in this building. Someone was smoking in the lobby on the first floor, and the smoke would drift up the hallway. Even with the window open and the exhaust fan on, the smell of smoke from the hallway and neighboring rooms would sometimes seep into my room through the gap under the door. The soundproofing of the room was also just average, which was a bit of a shame. Closing the window and turning off the exhaust fan significantly reduced the smoke smell. I later bought masking tape from a nearby stationery shop and sealed the gaps around my door every night, which worked very well. It seems that Gansu and Qinghai are generally more tolerant of smoking compared to other places. Overall, though, the room was very clean and odorless, and I slept well at night. It was a good stay overall."

"After our trip to Qinghai, we returned to the Holiday Inn Express, and it felt like coming back to civilization. The front desk staff were professional and friendly. There's underground parking, and the room was clean and spacious. For dinner, we had 'Kaiguo Lamb' at the hotel restaurant – selected short ribs simmered in broth for 15 minutes, then dipped in sauce, which was absolutely delicious! We finished with some vegetables cooked in the same pot. The breakfast spread, a mix of Western and Chinese, was also very rich. Compared to other Holiday Inn Express hotels in mainland China, this one offered local specialties like yogurt and noodles. If I ever come back to Xining, I'll definitely choose to stay here again."

The alley itself is quiet, but both ends are lively. The laundry room and gym are well-equipped, and both the front desk and housekeeping staff are very friendly. I highly recommend staying here."

"How can it be so hot in the room? Every room has a fan, but the blades were covered in dust. Even though it felt dirty, the room temperature was so high that we'd rather put up with the dusty fan just to get some air. The shower water, even at its hottest setting, was colder than body temperature, I have no idea why. Maybe they thought the room was too hot and people needed a cold shower to cool down? The ladies at the front desk had great service, but everything else was just so-so. Definitely a "wouldn't stay again" kind of place."

On our first day, a manager at the front desk was very helpful and upgraded our room. But here's the catch: when we checked out, one staff member kept following us around as if we were trying to steal something. I was even questioned about two dental floss picks I had taken. Also, some staff members seemed to think their hotel was very high-end and weren't very friendly towards guests; their attitude even came across as a bit arrogant. This is something that definitely needs improvement."

"Facilities: Upon entering the room, a price list for the room's furnishings was prominently displayed on the table (I think I've seen similar lists in hotels since I was very young). I only remember a TV costing 3600 yuan, but the TV had no internet, and the remote control was faulty; it took several people a long time to fix it. The hairdryer overheated even when using cold air, so I had to wait until my hair was almost dry before I could use it again. The front desk offered to replace it, but it was late, so I let it go. Cleanliness: The windows were quite dirty, probably because it's on a high floor and they can't clean it frequently. Environment: The front desk and the accommodations are not in the same building; we share two elevators with several other hotels, and the wait time is quite long. I asked if the room was quiet upon check-in and received a positive answer, but it turned out to be the noisiest room facing the stairs. I could order takeout without the delivery driver even calling; I opened the door just by seeing a shadow through the crack. I could hear people walking outside all night, and my elderly companion didn't sleep a wink. Service: I checked in in advance, which is typical for hotels on the Xining-Qinghai-Gansu loop line, something many hotels near the train station probably do. Check-in at the front desk was quite slow, with two computers constantly registering users. When I asked what she was doing because it was so slow, she said it was check-in. Two ID cards were swiped three times on one computer, but the keystrokes were neither the ID number nor the room number. Coincidentally, I received a scam phone call on the day of my check-in."

"The facilities are decent, but the service is unprofessional. 1. I booked two suites through the platform, but upon entering, I found one had been changed into a family room. Clearly, the wrong room card was issued. When I called the front desk, they actually claimed it was a free upgrade for us... We are two people who booked two suites, so what kind of logic leads to upgrading us to a family room? Moreover, on the platform, family rooms are cheaper than suites, so it's a 'downgrade disguised as an upgrade'? After I questioned the price, the front desk changed their story, saying that the family room and the suite had identical room sizes and bed sizes. If they're identical, then what kind of upgrade is that? It's completely contradictory. The final solution was to have a staff member come and convert the sofa bed back and replace the cartoon bedding. 2. I needed an invoice for a business trip, so I added the front desk on WeChat. The next morning, starting at 6 AM, they bombarded me with WeChat messages, waking me up. The facilities are indeed quite new, and the bedding is comfortable, but I hope they can improve their staff training."
