Old Yin Gentle's Inn

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over Spring Festival. The hospitality was excellent and the food was delicious. The rooms are tastefully furnished and have heaters and electric blankets for chilly weather. The location is excellent- very close to the park entrance and the surrounding area is lovely. Highly recommend staying here when you visit Zhangjiajie.

Considering cleanliness and service it is exteremly overpriced. Toilet was dirty and smelly, bathroom was overfloating and the size of room is tiny. It is a rough place for a family

Wonderful hotel! It was perfectly located within walking distance from the west gate of Zhangjiajie forest park. The area was so peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The hotel itself has lovely common areas that are well kept. My room was simple but very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great. We ate dinner both nights at the hotel and the food was excellent. It was a great place to stay for a long weekend. Highly recommend.

This was an enjoyable stay. The location is idyllic with the hotel nestled in the mountains which gives ample opportunity to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The hotel is also within walking distance of the West Gate of Zhangjiajie National Park which is a huge advantage. The hotel was clean and the staff were polite and friendly. The owner was fantastic and was always willing to help when asked. The food was great and locally sourced which resulted in a more authentic experience. Highly recommend a stay in this hotel and I hope to return sometime in the near future.

Excellent service, comfortable bed and good food.

A great place to stay. Walking distance to the west gate but they will also drive you there if you need. They picked me up from the station and dropped me off when I left. The owner was very friendly, joined me for dinner in my stay. All the staff were very helpful. They helped arrange tickets for the mountains too; I’d message them beforehand and tell them where you plan to go and on what days, they can arrange the tickets for you as it’s not simple to find online. Food is good and you can relax in the communal area. Recommended. Thanks for looking after me!

A small yet lovely little inn with very helpful staff who you can communicate with via Wechat and translators. They helped with transport and tickets and suggestions for hikes to natural swimming pools which were amazing and off the beaten track! The room was small but comfortable and the mattress needs a shout out for how lovely it was. Nice little lounge to sit in and they have access to a sister hotel's pool down the road. The location is a few mins away from one of the entrances and they dropped us and picked us up there everyday free of charge. Nice restaurant at the end of the road with every modern open plan decor , although the food here was decent too. Breakfast noodles were fine and the fruit and eggs too.

客棧在武陵源西門旁邊的山腳下。從客棧步行到西門大概需要15分鐘。空氣很好，出門就能直接看到周圍的大山，很有意境。 因為房間很多材料是木質的，而且張家界空氣潮濕，可能酒店也欠缺管理，因此剛入住的時候房間黴味很大。最後點了很多香才基本中和掉。 客棧衹有兩層，一樓窗外什麼都看不到。如果想住樓上要提前溝通，到了客棧再溝通可能會沒房，我就想住二樓，可是沒房了～ 整個西門附近基本沒有飯館和市場，因此吃飯的選擇基本就是客棧裏吃了， 客棧的飯很貴，一份番茄炒雞蛋要28塊錢，一份拌黃瓜要15塊。西門附近打車也很麻煩，我去了附近中湖鄉上吃了一頓燒烤，然後回來想打車等了半小時也沒打到，最後還是讓客棧老闆安排私家車送我回來的，2公里收費20元～～～ 總的來説，不建議做高鐵飛機的遊客住在西門附近，還是優先選擇東門吧，自駕遊而且想體驗山腳下生活的可以考慮這裏
