"I had an amazing stay at Avatar Mountain Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a peaceful atmosphere and lovely surroundings. What really made our stay exceptional was the staff. They were incredibly attentive, kind, and always willing to help. Our flight was delayed by several hours, meaning we arrived in the early hours of the morning, but they still arranged to pick us up from the airport and were just as helpful when dropping us off later. Their hospitality made a stressful travel day so much easier. Although the hotel is a little outside the city, it was never an issue. Getting a DiDi was quick and affordable, and the staff were always happy to help arrange transportation and make sure we could get wherever we wanted to go without any hassle. Overall, the combination of the beautiful hotel, outstanding service, and convenient transport made for a fantastic stay. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Zhangjiajie!"

"Location: About a 15-minute walk from the iconic gate, which is quite convenient. We rented a car during the May Day holiday but still ended up walking to the scenic area entrance. Facilities: The shower pressure was good. The decor has a slightly dated, opulent feel; it probably looked great when it was a Crowne Plaza. There were quite a few international guests, especially Koreans. The hotel pool isn't large, but the staff were quite responsible. Seeing that I hadn't changed into my swimsuit to accompany my child, they asked my child to swim closer to them for easier supervision. Stay two consecutive nights and enjoy one complimentary pickup or drop-off service (choose one) to/from the airport or Zhangjiajie West High-Speed Rail Station (one-way shared ride): This service was not available during the May Day holiday 🤷. Plus, when we arrived during May Day, we found that booking on the spot was actually cheaper than my advance reservation, which was a bit annoying 😓. Service: It was decent overall, and the staff were quite enthusiastic, proactively greeting guests. Breakfast: During May Day, breakfast started at 6 AM. Haha, there was a long queue, mostly Koreans. Luckily, they were well-behaved and lined up orderly to get food. The queue for the coffee machine was crazy though; everyone had three cups! Koreans really can't live without coffee… The food was unremarkable. We were in a hurry to get to the scenic area by 6:30 AM, so we didn't eat much. On the second day, we even bothered the staff to pack us some food, so we just had a quick bite. It’s definitely best to avoid coming during holidays."

"Friends, beware! This five-star hotel in name only has a four-star location, three-star service, two-star facilities, and a one-star breakfast. It feels like they're on their last legs and just trying to make a quick buck during the New Year. There were only two check-in counters, and I waited half an hour in line. The staff weren't even wearing uniforms, which looked very unprofessional. The AC in the room wasn't heating, and when someone came to fix it, they just fiddled with it half-heartedly. The TV was tiny, smaller than a computer monitor. The breakfast was the most ridiculous part; we paid an extra 28 yuan for one person, and there was hardly anything edible inside. It was ridiculously bad. They should just close down already."

"Choosing this hotel for our self-driving trip to Tianmen Mountain was absolutely the right decision! The biggest highlight is definitely the underground parking garage. We didn't have to worry about parking at all, making it super convenient and secure for our car. The hotel's location is perfect; it's a short drive to Tianmen Mountain and all the other nearby attractions, which saved us a lot of time daily. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants and snack shops around, so finding food for all our meals was never an issue. The room was clean and comfortable, and our overall stay was fantastic. "⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding stay – highly recommended! We absolutely loved our stay at Yuezhu | Peak Clouds & Arcadian Courtyard. This was one of the best hotels we stayed at during our trip to China. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. One of the biggest advantages is that they speak English, which made everything so much easier for international travelers. The location is perfect—just a few minutes’ walk from the entrance to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, making it an excellent base for exploring the Avatar Mountains. The rooms are modern, spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. One of our favorite details was the projector in the room. After a long day exploring the park, it was so cozy to relax and watch a movie in the evening. Everything was well thought out, from the comfortable beds to the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. The hotel offers excellent value for money, and we would happily stay here again.
