We were so incredibly impressed by this hotel. It deserves more than three stars. The onsen was amazing. The facilities were great. The staff were amazing. I think locals come here in the morning and pay to have their breakfast. We have stayed at other super hotels because of this experience that we had and none of them compare to this one. The morning breakfast line was incredibly long, but the staff was incredible and polite and help make the experience as great as possible. The food was impeccable Way beyond our expectations. We think it's a local's hidden gem.

We really liked this hotel! The location is fantastic - it's right next to China Town and across the street from a beautiful park connected to Yokohama stadium. The area is lovely - we wish we stayed longer! The hotel exterior is very nice and the entrance is modern and welcoming. It's also attached to a Lawson which is convenient for late night snacks. We really enjoyed this place, will definitely come back next time we are in Yokohama!

Tren istasyonuna birkaç dakika uzaklıkta mükemmel konum, popüler Tokyo destinasyonlarına iyi ulaşım bağlantıları, temiz otel tesisleri ve güler yüzlü + yardımsever personel. Tek olumsuz yanı, oda boyutunun çift kişilik bir oda için biraz küçük olması ama bunun genel olarak Japon otelleri için oldukça standart olduğunu düşünüyorum

This hotel is perfect! Very clean, located right next to Shin-Yokohama station so very convenient if you're coming there by Shinkansen. The double bed room is also suitable for two people. The corridor smells super nice, staffs were great. Maybe one thing I would comment is the music playing at the corridor can be a bit districting in the morning. If they could turn it down a little, that would be great.

A great find for my New Years stay.
Perfect location for both accessing Yokohama and central Tokyo, although the latter does take around 1hr to get to.
But also a great place to access the nearby Mt Takao, Mt Jinba and the ridge trail along there. So, if you’re looking for a nice spot with access to the city and hiking opportunities, this will do the trick.
Also, I’d like to not how amazing the staff were. Attentive and friendly. Plus, the food they prepared each morning—a part of the accommodation deal—was amazing!
I’d highly recommend the Toyoko Inn.

Hotel relatively new compared to other hotels in the area . Next to the town hall ,a few restaurants nearby , have to walk further for shopping.
The reception is ok but a bit cold . Booked a twin room but smaller than shown in the picture, no desk & chair to work. I won't return as I can find better hotels nearer to the centre at this price.

This is my first time staying in hotel. Good location great service and good breakfast though room is typically small so if you are travelling with kids it may not be ideal.

Japonya seyahatim sırasında kaldığım en temiz, en ferah ve en şık oteldi.
Yokohama'yı ziyaret eden herkese bu oteli tavsiye ederim.
Ancak odada su yoktu ve su arıtma cihazından su almak için dışarı çıkmak zorundaydınız ki bu inanılmaz derecede rahatsız ediciydi.
Konumu Yokohama İstasyonu'na yakındı, bu yüzden yaklaşık 15 dakikalık yürüme mesafesindeydi, bu da beklediğimden daha uzun geldi.
Banyo tipik bir iş oteli gibiydi.
Bunun dışında, otelin güzel bir lobisi vardı ve kahvaltısının iyi olduğunu duydum (denemedim). Yanında LG binası da var (giriş yaptıktan sonraki gün ABD'de insanların gözaltına alındığına dair haberler duydum, bu bana tuhaf geldi). Yan taraftaki bina olan KT (tamamen farklı bir şirket olmasına rağmen) da hoş bir manzaraydı.
Etrafta dolaşmak için harika bir yer, bu yüzden limana gidip gelmek için sabah koşusu için mükemmel. Yokohama'ya döndüğümde tekrar burada kalmayı planlıyorum.

I did not want to make these points of criticism public and therefore sent you an email on September 16, 2025. Since I have not received any response by October 1, 2025, I am now publishing my points of criticism.
Thank you very much for hosting us from September 14 to 16 2025. Your service is so attentive and friendly - it was consistently perfect.
Unfortunately, we experienced many shortcomings that I would like to point out to you.
The room, unfortunately, was not clean. The sink siphon is yellow, and the bathtub on the balcony is full of residue from the thermal water. We found hair everywhere: on the floor, the bed, and the couch. I would expect a different hygiene standard in a 5-star hotel.
The bed linen seemed old and had frayed edges and loose threads sticking out. It did not feel inviting to sleep in. On the terrace, the hanging chair had a hole that looked like it was caused by a cigarette. The wooden surfaces in the room showed a lot of wear and damage in many areas. Simply touching them up with a suitable marker or paint would already make them look newer and more high-quality.
At the buffet, the water glasses were unfortunately very small. In the summer heat, I had to fetch four rounds of two glasses each at dinner to stay sufficiently hydrated. At the first breakfast, I got a cappuccino from the coffee machine. No milk came out, even though a staff member had just refilled it, and the remaining coffee tasted strongly of cleaning agent. The taste lingered in my mouth until the evening. I only took one sip and didn’t want to drink any more.
On the first night, I was woken up by irregular beeping in the room. After a long search, I identified the safe as the source. The safe was irregularly entering codes on its own without any input. I tried to open it with my PIN - since our laptops were locked inside - but I couldn’t open it anymore. The error HOLD03 appeared, so I wanted to wait the three minutes for a new PIN entry. In the meantime, the safe entered codes again by itself and reactivated the HOLD03 timer. Luckily, I found a three-minute phase when the safe didn’t make an input on its own, and I was able to open it with my PIN. Out of lack of trust, I didn’t lock the laptops in the safe again. I kindly ask you to have the safe serviced and the defect repaired.
Because of this, I unfortunately slept poorly and with the hygiene issues and the problems at the buffet, the overall stay was not enjoyable.
A single problem would not make the stay worse, but the accumulation of issues put us off and does not correspond to a 5-star hotel charging ¥80,000 per night for a simple double room.
I hope my feedback helps you and wish that you can resolve the problems easily and cost-effectively.
Your service is on such a high level, and we truly appreciate that.

MMisafir KullanıcıI had a wonderful stay at Rakuten Stay Fujimi Terrace! The day before check-in, I received an email with the entrance code, which made the whole process very smooth. The room was exactly as described on the website—with large windows offering an incredible view of Mt. Fuji, the torii gate, and the lake. The scenery alone made it more than worth it.
We had eight people staying in two 4-person rooms located on the third floor. One of the rooms was slightly larger and had extra bedding stored in the closet—enough to comfortably sleep two additional people. There were two bathrooms and two toilets in total, which was perfect for a group or family.
The main bathroom included a sauna, hot spring-style bath, shower area, double sinks, a washing machine, and a water dispenser. The second bathroom had a separate shower area and a single sink. Both toilets were separated spaces from bathrooms with high-tech with bidet functions and small sinks.
The large dining table and spacious sofa area easily seated all of us. We spent many relaxing moments on the balcony, soaking our feet in the warm onsen foot bath, chatting, and admiring the stunning view.
The kitchen was fully equipped with a dishwasher, detergent, a large fridge stocked with complimentary drinks, a capsule coffee machine, and a Japanese rice cooker that made delicious rice. The beds were on the firmer side but still soft and very comfortable.
It was just a 3-minute walk along the lake to the 7-Eleven, accessible by elevator from the building. The nearby pier was where we boarded the pirate ship cruise, and about 13 minutes further along the lake was the Peace Torii—a fantastic photo spot. Don’t forget to grasp some delicious bread at “bakery and table” before boarding to the ship.
After check-out, we stored our luggage in the lockers at Motohakone Port, took the pirate ship to Togendai, transferred to the ropeway to Sounzan, and visited Gora and Kowakudani before taking the mountain bus back to Motohakone to pick up our luggages. There are 4 lockers for suitcase up to 32 inches ¥700, 12 lockers for 24 inches ¥600, and 10 lockers for smaller size of bags ¥400. From there, we had a pre-arranged shuttle take us back to Tokyo. The whole route was smooth and well-organized—perfect for a larger group traveling without a car.
Overall, I highly recommend Rakuten Stay!

There is a convenience store on the second floor of the same building, which is super convenient.
It’s also very close to the subway station.
I really loved staying here.
If I visit Yokohama again, I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Room was more or less as expected, and the dinner and breakfast meals were quite elaborate. Felt that breakfast was actually the stronger meal of the two, so wasn’t necessarily worth it to pay extra for dinner. I’d likely skip doing dinner in the future. The room attendant who helped us was very kind and attentive, although we had a bit of language barrier given we don’t speak Japanese.
The big disappointment was even though the ryokan is advertised as allowing guests to book one of the larger hot springs on the property for private use for 45 minutes, we weren’t able to do this. We arrived within the designated check in time and were told that it was all booked up for the day. There was no way to book in advance and we were only staying for one night, and they didn’t try to accommodate allowing us to book at all for the next day before checkout. This really hampered the experience overall - we weren’t that interested in using the gender segregated facility (was traveling with my partner who is the opposite gender) as we wouldn’t be able to spend time together, and the tub in our room was quite small.
They should amend this policy to allow all guests to book a private hot spring time or not advertise it as part of the room! Feels like we got cheated out of the service and we weren’t offered anything else as an alternative. I would have booked another ryokan had I known this were the case - there are many others in Hakone which are much better value and have nicer / newer private facilities for around the same price. I wouldn’t recommend Yama no Chaya given this was a big part of what we thought would make it a good experience

We were prepared a traditional dinner, which was served in our room. It was very tasty and varied! The hotel has 3 onsen: 2 - private, 1 - public. We visited only the private ones (you need to book a time in advance at the reception upon check-in, the visit time is 30 minutes). It was wonderful! The hotel also provides a transfer from and to the nearest train stations. The rooms are clean, cozy, we slept on tatami under soft blankets. The hotel has a relax room. With massage chairs and a very quiet atmosphere. We stayed in this room after visiting the onsen and got great relaxation. And you are also given national clothes for rest and sleep. It is very beautiful and cute. Breakfasts were also in kaiseki style - varied and unusual. The hotel staff is very kind and friendly. this hotel allows tattoo baths. great experience, thank you very much! want to come back again!
