I recently stayed at this hostel and the hostel is clean and comfortable, which made for a pleasant stay. The rooms are well-maintained, and the beds are cozy. However, the toilet bidet wasn’t working, which was quite inconvenient. Additionally, the shower room is located on the first floor, the same floor as the bar. This setup was not ideal as it required going downstairs to shower. One of the biggest issues was the noise from the bar on the first floor. The bar stays open until midnight, and the loud music and chatter made it difficult to relax and get a good night’s sleep.
Si quieres vivir la experiencia de dormir en tatami y futón este es tu hotel. Super limpio, personal super amable y desayuno bien rico. Nosotros repetiríamos! Aunque aviso de que las almohadas son duras, al estilo tradicional.
Guest house Hakodate Bay is super nice and well located it’s an easy walk over to the train station and the owner is super kind and friendly, he’ll even give some really good restaurant recommendations the rooms are a bit packed but well worth it. I highly recommend it for those on the go solo travelers, and if you’re a huge one piece fan there’s a picture frame in the stairwell that has a one piece puzzle fully put together and framed.

Awesome stay in Sapporo, they have events happening and the staf is super friendly and helpful. The beds are spacious enough with locked boxes to store valuables and the lounge areas are splendid!

Need to walk around 20 minutes from Sapporo station. Hard to find since there is no sign or poster on the entry writing hostel . Rather cafe , after going 3 times round the block I finally read in small print ten to ten .
10 minutes away from any seven eleven or family mart, 30 minutes away from Ōdōri park , I found the location to be not ideal . On their website they write they have a laundromat , which is wrong . No washing machine , I find it disappointing in Japan where every hostels or hotels have one . The lady at the desk told me to go and wash clothes is quite far . Also don’t believe the photos on their website or promotions pictures . There is no park down the building . It’s a small hostel in a small street isolated from the rest of the neighborhood.
For the hostel itself , classic , nothing to say except some of the curtains on their bed don’t close properly , the bed is very comfortable , bathroom clean and you can change towels every day . Breakfast is for free every morning at 8 and it is a coffee and a small bread . Still delicious . Staff is not always on the premises, morning and evening .
In a nutshell. Was good for a short stay but will definitely look for another one with better equipment ( laundromat ) and better location ( closer to a family mart ) next time .
MMisafir KullanıcıAs a ryokan I believe is run by a family, you would expect they will by offering good service rather than lots of facilities. This is exactly the case. I want to commend the owner, Mr. Tsuchiya, because without his help, my excursion to Lake Toyoni would not be as smooth. After discussing my concerns in the risk of missing the bus on the way back, he agreed to drive me to Lake Toyoni early in the morning, so I would have plenty of time to spend at Lake Toyoni, and minimized the chance I would miss the only scheduled bus back. Indeed, I did get to the bus stop ahead of time and caught the bus. I bought some snacks from a local bakery for his help. Not sure if he liked it or not, but hopefully yes.
In terms of facilities, I was surprised to find there is an onsen there. To be honest, it's more like a hot bath, but that is still nice to have. Also, you will have to drag your luggage to 2nd floor, as obviously, there won't be an elevator. The only complaint I would have is the wifi, which is dodgy at best. Just continue to use your own data if you want to avoid frustrations.
Cleanliness is ok, given only three people run the whole place, including cleaning and cooking. Bathrooms are shared, and I have no problem with the cleanliness. The place is old, so don't expect too much.
In summary, their service is top-notch; everything else is what you would expect of a ryokan.
MMisafir KullanıcıMAKE SURE YOU RECEIVE THE CODE TO THE LIFT BEFORE YOU ARRIVE.
I stayed in a capsule in the dormitory on the 3rd floor of the hotel, where self check-in facilities are located. I believe there are family units or private rooms on other floors of the hotel.
+ Very good location. Less than 5 minutes walk from nearest subway. Subway journey about 5 minutes from central Odori Station.
+ Very comfortable beds and good quality linen and pillows. I slept very well during my two nights there.
+ Very good and clean communal facilities - high quality furniture, spacious bathrooms (a lot better than the price suggests).
+ Self check-in was easy (apart from the lift, see below).
- I booked my accommodation through Trip.com. That meant I did not receive an email from the hotel with the code to activate the lift (or even know that I needed a code!). Thankfully, a lady put in the code for me to take me to the 3rd floor so I could check in, otherwise I would have been stuck with no access to the hotel. MAKE SURE YOU RECEIVE THE CODE TO THE LIFT BEFORE YOU ARRIVE.
- There are no cooking utensils, plates, cups, cutlery or fridge in the kitchen on the 3rd floor where the dormitories are located.
I would happily stay here again for the money, now I know the downsides I have written above so that I can plan accordingly.
WwaynethepaintTrip.com has always been my go to for travel bookings. Similarly this time to Niseko, decided to extend for an additional week and MyEcolodge came up in the search.
I have to mention the checkin was seamless, but what I thought i booked, vastly differ from what was allocated for me. I thought what i booked was a room to myself however it turns out as a shared room. Its not a big deal but the feeling of misinterpretation leaves an awful taste.
(Trip.com CS stepped in and helped to clarify things but theres nothing that could be done. peak season, and everywhere else is fully booked or without paying a premium)
That said, the stay was good. MyEcolodge sits in a very convenient location just couple stops from Hirafu. Theres various buses including free shutters so thats really an ease off the mind)
7eleven, a small cafe, hotpot/shabushabu restaurant just sits across from you. The hostel also has their own cafeteria though ive never eaten there (food looks good though).
They have a huge storage room for your gears, pretty safe so no worries. pantry, laundry room, washroom are pretty spacious and kept tidy.
The room itself is fine, nothing to wow about. nothing to complain either. Towels are free and clean. Everything else you need to pay.
Overall good stay.
Pray hard you get nice room mates if youre sharing!

TTravel EverydaysA small and simple place to stay, you can see that the place is a bit aged but its clean and tidy.
The room is small but one thingn want to highlight, the breakfast was incredible! very nice breakfast :)
VVSTExtremely great stay! We stayed here for five nights. We would highly recommend Plat hostel Keikyu to all friends and family members. It's so clean and comfortable. We booked a twin bed room and we slept soundly throughout the five nights because it's quiet and pleasant. It is also located nearby Hosui Susukino subway station, yes, 150m away and just two minutes walk. Easy and convenient to explore Susukino as well as other attractions in Sapporo.
This hostel also has a clean and well-equipped kitchen and dining area for in-house guests.
The counter staff are all friendly and helpful, too.
If we come again, we will definitely choose to stay here again.
Thank you very much.
LLeslie ResnickJust what we needed! The owner is a great guy, the beds have plugs at the headboard, it was warm, the water was hot-> just what we needed. (from my friends: loved the bedding the mattresses were nice)
MMisafir KullanıcıCan not beat this location for this price. Stayed here 2 out of 3 trips to Niseko, and the only trip we didn't was because they had not reopened post covid when we booked. That trip was tough for us to carry all ski/snow equipment and lug a toddler around. This place, even without ski-in/out anymore is still super accessible to the slopes behind. Short walk down the hill, cut right between some buildings at you're at the foot of the hill with ski shops, schools and lifts.
There's a large convenience store that sells toiletries, bentos, snacks and a huge range of wines just across the street. Next to that is a very popular ramen shop with a 2-3 hour wait time. It works for us because we head there after the slopes, get a queue number, head back to the hotel to sit in front of the wood fireplace, have a shower, take a nap even then head back just in time for our queue number to be called. Couldn't ask for more.
O yes, the traditional wood fireplace is just amazing too.
AAnonim KullanıcıGood location. Good facilities and amenities.
The main problem is, there is no place to charge your phone in the capsule. They provide one, but the position and the size not fit for normal charger.
