I am so glad I chose Komatsu-kan during my stay in Matsushima. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. When I told him I am a vegetarian, he kindly informed the kitchen to exclude animal flesh and seafood from my meal. (Usually, hotels ignored my food request, or they just gave me tofu and pickles for my meal.) The next morning, I was so surprised to see my breakfast. I loved the fresh salad, steamed vegetables, over-easy eggs, chawan-mushi, and the pickles even tasted better than before. Then the room surprised me with the pine tree and the beautiful sea view. The next morning I woke up at 4:45 to see the sunrise. Just from my room, I could see the sun slowly rising from the other side of the sea. Stunning! I really enjoyed the little Me time here. Actually, this hotel is well-maintained, and that helps raise the value of it. I also love the fresh little flowers right next to the washing basin. And the people working here are quite ya-sa-shi. They are kind and gentle. Generally speaking, this is a nice place worth staying and relaxing in.

very nice Onsen hotel.A very good Onsen.Room is Big compare to Japan Standard.Food was Buffet Morning and Dinner.A lot of variety.Not to bad to eat.Nice view to the mountain from my room.

Special room with private onsen was so nice and spacious. Both dinner and breakfast were good quality and had a varitiea of choices.

Amazing views of the bay from my room. It makes waking up every morning an almost religious experience. If you’re staying here and can afford it, pay the extra to face the bay. You won’t regret it. The bath are also has bay views and is one of the best I’ve experienced in Japan.

房間環境舒適，職員態度頗有善，盡量提供到有限的服務給我們。 食物方便頗好，有提供飯飲品等類型供我們選擇。早餐亦有多款食物，可以嘗試得到地道的美食，也有不同的飲品類型供顧客自行選擇。侍應也有跟客人保持距離令我們沒有太大的壓迫感，侍應亦有詢問我們食物各方面質素等如何，感到有親切的服務態度。 但認為關於溫泉部份不太好，因女湯那邊基本上沒有隱私，任何人只要打開門都可以看得到，希望可以改善這部份，而且起碼做出間隔令人方便可以換衣服

Very good location outside weather is very good also  The staff are very nice 😊😊

The property is quite old and the bathroom was not properly cleaned. The room was spacious. No wifi in room, only at the lobby. The top floor open-air Onsen is excellent. The buffet is superb both dinner and breakfast especially for the price I paid. After checking out, they even have a shuttle brought only me to the train station.

20231125 房間超大，是可以睡6個人的大小。從仙台坐西部線過來就在飯店前下車步行1分鐘，只是冬天天太黑沒路燈看不清路。如果沒訂晚餐的晚上7點之後可以去3樓有個地方可以吃簡單的拉麵

It is an all inclusive hotel in the Akiu area. Buffet dinner and breakfast were just superb. There are two public onsen that can be used freely. Shuttle bus can be arranged to/from Sendai station if you don’t drive.
