"The entire hot spring town is absolutely beautiful. Since it was newly renovated in 2024, there was no musty smell in the room. The staff were professional, polite, and warmly welcoming without being intrusive, and their English was excellent. There's a shuttle service from the hotel to the station, or you can walk there yourself. This hotel is exactly what I imagined a Japanese onsen hotel to be. The hotel's own hot springs are fantastic. The location is truly the best – some hotels are up in the mountains or require a bit of a walk, but Ichii offers direct views of Yubatake. On the first floor, there's also a large souvenir shop with many unique items that aren't available back home. I'd definitely choose to spend a whole day exploring Karuizawa and then stay at Ichii again!"

"This is my second time staying here. I think it's great value for money. There are only 6 rooms, the large communal bath is not crowded, and each room has its own private bath. There is a parking lot and the location is perfect. The unused rooms are used as private rooms for private meals. They are served almost all at once, but considering the cost of accommodation, it's not a problem. If it were closer to my house, I would definitely consider staying here again."

"We stayed in a warm and comfortable tatami room, which included two meals. The hotel offers a convenient shuttle service to and from the station, and the staff were very attentive throughout our stay. The on-site hot spring was excellent; it snowed heavily the day we visited, and soaking in the hot spring while watching the snow fall was truly a magical experience. We also enjoyed the complimentary delicious late-night snack provided in the evening. Additionally, parking is available, which is convenient for those driving."

"This was my first time visiting Kusatsu Onsen, and I happened to find and stay at Kanoya. The staff were all very kind and helpful, assisting me courteously with things like sending my luggage and lending me items I needed. The bathhouse isn't large, but it was very clean. The water was hot, but it felt wonderfully therapeutic. The location is excellent, with easy access to various attractions. The complimentary breakfast was also delicious. Thank you very much!"
