The girl at the front desk gave us a map of the old town and told us to follow the blueline marked on the ground to see the place. It worked very well."

"A one night stay on the way through France. Chosen mainly for its secure parking in an underground car park. As other reviews have said the service is rather cold. Polite but lacking any real interaction. There was refurbishment work going on at the time of our stay with bits of plasterboard missing on the corridor walls and protective coverings on carpets in the public areas. If possible choose a room at the rear of the hotel. It’s noisy at the front with the sound of over excited students leaving bars and the trams that run past the front of the building. Personally I found the bed too hard and uncomfortable. Others had different opinions. Wasn’t impressed that the breakfast room wasn’t cleared during breakfast service with used crockery and cutlery left on many of the tables. It looked scrappy and suggested a lack of care."

"Horrible hotel, the cleaning hadn't been done. I found an open packet of cookies under the bed and a lot of dirt. There was no soundproofing between the rooms. The staff didn't listen. The owner didn't accept my complaints about her hotel; she called me six hours after I left to accuse me of tearing the wallpaper, even though the hotel is dilapidated—the walls, doors, and baseboards are damaged. I was on the fourth floor; there's no elevator to the top floor, so I had to carry my luggage myself. No one helped me. Avoid this place immediately; it's disgusting."

"Lovely spot with extensive grounds and pool. Easy drive into town. Lovely short walk to river and ferry to island. Dinner quite reasonable value but need to order by 4.30. Slight hum of autoroute in background but no bother for us."

We highly recommend as the only place to stay with fantastic staff, comfortable beds, and a wonderful breakfast!!"

I was on a group tour which left from this hotel but booked an extra night in advance for a great rate. Excellent value for money and would stay there again."

"This hotel is where my wife stayed for a month when she came to France to read summer school nearly 20 years ago, so this time I deliberately revisited it. The hotel has been refurbished and the interior is ok, but many facilities are a bit old. For example, the door lock is still an old-fashioned key, the elevator is very small, only two or three people can stand. The room is spacious, but the lighting is a bit insufficient. The location is really invincible, just opposite the train station, it is very convenient to take the train to Paris or other cities, or take the tram to the city. In addition, the restaurant downstairs in the hotel is very recommended, and the bread and pastries in the bakery opposite are also cheap and delicious. In addition, there is a supermarket about 5 minutes away from the hotel, and it is very convenient to buy."

"This was a perfect stop over in Angers. The hotel is extremely convenient for the station and I received a warm welcome. The receptionist returned last year from 23 years living in Wales, so her English was very good. Celine was very helpful in advising me where to eat and what to see and do during my short visit to Angers. The room was very clean and had everything I needed. It was comfortable and I slept well . Breakfast was continental and featured a variety of fresh fruits including fresh peaches, cereals, fresh bread and a variety of fresh croissants, hard boiled eggs, ham and cheese. There was filter coffee which was good. I was very satisfied with it all and would certainly recommend this as a comfortable, well located no-frills hotel."
