Hotel Areaone Wadayama

Hotel Areaone Wadayama ★★★

📍 767 Wadayamacho Tamaki, Asago

"I use it all the time. I can watch the Hanshin Tigers on Sun TV. If there were VOD channels, a large public bath, and a sauna, I'd have no complaints."

📍 Wadayamacho Takedaaza Kamimachi Nishigawa 363, Asago

"A perfect experience, a small but beautiful, independent sake brewery and traditional Japanese-style resort hotel with super five-star reviews. Not far from the station, with the Japanese version of Castle in the Sky behind it, the restaurant offers views of passing trains, and all-you-can-drink options in the room and executive lounge. Absolutely amazing!"

"I loved the breakfast so much that this is my second stay. While it's not for people who prefer Japanese food, the chicken teriyaki sandwich and shrimp avocado sandwich are delicious. The smoothie they bring out when you sit down is also delicious. The location is perfect if you have a car."

📍 690-8 Wadayamacho Teradani, Asago

"We wanted to see the sea of clouds at Takeda Castle, and staying here was very convenient. Highly recommended! You can tell the front desk you want to see the sea of clouds when you check in and ask them to help you book a private car. This private car service is only available during specific periods, not all times."

"Host was very friendly and helpful even with her limited English. Helped us arrange transport to Takeda castle. We got a room with toilet, while shower is outside. Dinner was delicious too. The place has a musty smell, typical of roukan. You can smell it in the sheets too. Didnt bother me, but may be for some."

Takeda Base Inn

Takeda Base Inn ★★★

📍 Wadayamachoyasui１９９, Asago

"This place is truly spectacular. There are four full bedrooms, a traditional tatami room where you can lay out more mattresses, a huge dining room, a large and fully equipped kitchen, a lounge area with a wood stove, and a ridiculously nice bathroom with a sculptural tub. The host is incredibly kind and speaks great English. There’s also a Super Nintendo setup for all your retro gaming needs. The location is gorgeous as well, and that includes the zen garden outside the main bedroom (which has incredibly comfortable beds). 15/10 stars!"

"It was very nice in Japanese style (a little shabby but clean). The blankets were fluffy and the air conditioning was cool. The staff were very friendly and helped me a lot. Parking is also available. I especially loved the breakfast while looking at the view in the morning."

"Despite it being the first three days of the New Year, the price was very reasonable, and to be honest, I didn't have very high expectations. However, the lovingly prepared meals, the feeling of peace and tranquility like returning home, and the wonderful hospitality and thoughtfulness of the inn staff made it a truly memorable experience. I definitely want to go again. I have experience staying at many inns, but this is a warm and welcoming place that I can truly recommend."
