Good location, nice and clean place with friendly staff. Would be good have a work desk in the room. Staff was helpful and gave us a good recommendation for massage place before we left.

i saw many positive reviews and was excited to see if it was reality... Simply put, its worth visiting Luoyang just to stay at May Fourth Youth Hostel. The level of cleanliness, amicability, overall positive yet low-key ambience should be the standard across the country. From the music choice in the lobby to the staff who run it, It's clear it has been designed and is run by people who really understand what it means to be a traveller and what makes a good hotel. The rooms are spacious (sometimes hostels can feel claustophobic - but not here), with beds having more space than typical, good quality pillow and duvets. Suited for both travellers from the east and west, there are seated and squat toilets, with a large array of showers. The washing machine is great (if they had a couple of good Dryers too that would be amazing), as well as the communal rooms with vending machines, pool table, and seating area (including the lovely quiet library space) The location is decent too, a spacious cultural park is nearby with the hostel itself tucked away from the main street, creating convinience but not crowds. The price is perfect! ideal for young people, students and solo travellers visiting on a budget. My friend decided to stay here two more days just because of the comfort and facilities. As both a foreigner and a woman, i felt safe and welcome here so i reccommend friends from abroad to come check this place out. Possibly the best youth hostel i've had the pleasure of staying in oh also the little cat is so cute !

第二次入住洛邑古城這家民宿，原本衹為熟悉的方便，卻意外收穫了一段如茶般回甘的體驗。深夜11點落地，老闆親自接機。本以為會是尋常的奔波，卻看見他開着一輛寬敞的寶馬悄然停靠。路上閑聊才知，這是對“躺平”了卻更有温度的夫妻——早些年做工程攢下了底氣，如今開民宿不為謀生，衹為情懷與分享。錢賺夠了，現在想賺的是時光，是朋友，是故事。老闆娘很温柔説話輕聲細語，卻藏着對茶最深厚的熱愛。第二天午後，她邀我同飲一泡百年古樹班章。茶湯金黃透亮，入口醇厚如山韻，她邊沏茶邊聊洛陽的雜文趣事，她説：“人生是用來慢慢品，慢慢過的。”他們的服務裏，沒有刻意的殷勤，卻處處是“自己人”的體貼：早餐是老闆夫婦請我和同事喝了地道的洛陽牛肉湯。聽説我想拍照，老闆娘翻出私藏的漢服配飾給我搭；臨走時，還塞給我一包她常喝的單叢，説“路上解渴”。短短兩天，我彷彿讀了一本輕緩治癒的小説。他們不是在經營生意，而是在經營一種值得分享的人生。洛邑古城的美，因這樣的主人，而多了人情的光！

An exceptionally well run Resort/hotel. Check in was perfect. Breakfast was exceptional, including a lot of variety, very well staffed and sufficient space (some private rooms) even during morning peak demand. The room, except for some lighting/switch issues was exceptional. Bathroom amenities good. Swimming pool (25M) was very good (a little on the warm side) and very well staffed. In general, Yishui's staff is honed to almost military precision, inconspicuous but very attentive. Although not advertised as a tourist hotel the resort is very close to the Luoyang grottos, a brisk walk to the NE entrance or 10 minute taxi ride to the West entrance. Luoyang's high speed train station is a short taxi ride.

A good hotel in courtyard design/layout. The location is both good (walking distance to Longmen Grottoes) and bad (no direct link to motor road; so need staff to help dragging luggage over rough surface for hundreds of metres to the main road). The rooms were near 5-star standard; but windows are mostly facing bad view. The breakfast spread needs to improve to match the hotel & room standard. In addition, how could a proper hotel telling guests no fried egg could be served due to the electric pan was out of order..... The front desk staff was helpful. Thank you.

Pros: close to the few attractions in luoyang. Friendly staff. Cons: - No lift so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. - We stayed for two nights but the hotel staff did not replenish the toiletries, change the towels and tidy up the room.

The hotel is located right inside the attraction, making it very convenient for sightseeing. After booking, the hotel staff will contact you via WeChat to arrange pick-up. I didn’t have to worry about anything during my stay because the staff took care of everything. Highly recommend!

We had a very pleasant 4 night stay at the Banshan Siji Hotel in Luoyang. The resort is beautiful and secluded, away from all of the hustle and bustle of downtown Luoyang while remaining accessible. The location is very convenient to the high speed rail station, Longmen Grottoes, Guang Lin Temple and Peony Museum. It’s a bit further away to get to White Horse Temple, Lintang Gate and Luoyi Ancient City. However, the hotel offers a very convenient and comfortable private shuttle for train/airport transfer and a daily trips to or from town. Above all, I have to commend the team at this hotel for their excellent service and extremely friendly attitude. Everyone went out of their way to offer assistance for any of our needs and always with a smile. A huge bonus - they offered a complementary same-day laundry service which we used several times during our stay taking care of a major hassle on extended travels. From the reception, front desk, porters, drivers and housekeepers, we received top notch service rivalling hotels we’ve stayed at worldwide. The breakfast also deserves special mention. The selection was not as extensive as buffets at some major hotels but the quality was excellent and we found it to be more than enough to start each day before sightseeing. In addition to a small self serve area, you can order large bowls soup or noodles and they also provide a beautiful tray of delicacies. We very much enjoyed each day’s breakfast. Finally, the room we stayed in, with a private hot spring tub and private patio was spacious, clean, modern and beautiful. We enjoyed use the tub after full days of sightseeing to ease aching muscles and the bed was very comfortable. On our final night, we did experience a problem with a light switch not turn lights but the staff were quick to provide us another room so we could get to sleep. Another great example of their dedication to quality service. Overall, I was very pleased to have discovered this beautiful gem in Luoyang and it made our visit to this wonderful city that much more special and memorable.

The family rooms we booked were huge with 2 big bedrooms plus a smaller one which was a great play area for the kids. It had heating/cooling in each room that we could adjust ourselves. Beds were comfortable and the duvets were nice and thick. Only drawback was that it had no mini fridge. And there is no elevator so you do need to climb up some flights of stairs. I communicated with the manager by WeChat translation. There was always someone waiting for us when we got back which was so reassuring for a homestay - they made sure we were safe and even checked on our payment for our ride. Location was down an alleyway right across from Yongtianmen - it was a bit of a walk from the metro station and too narrow for vehicle access. Instead we found it so convenient to use the 3 wheeled tuk tuks which could send us up to the doorstep. Cost was between 10-20 CNY. The street was lined with hanfu shops and many little convenience stores where we could buy snacks and the cold drinks we wanted. Strangely we could not get cold beer! They said it was not the season yet for col Overall we had a great stay! It was a chance to experience living in a local community which was different from the usual hotel experience.

We had a great experience staying in the room type with two large beds and one bunker bed. We booked this room kinda expecting the bunker bed to excite our 4 and 7 yo and it definitely proved so. Room is clean, AC is great. The breakfast (made free with a trip.com promotion) is quite a treat. Even some might prefer hot coffee but honestly I cannot complain much with the offer of a hard boiled egg, two potstickers, one pcs of corn, millet congee, etc. The staffs are all responsive and ready to help with request like additional towels/bottled water/breakfast food. The owners had a friendly puppy called “fanfan”on site too. At the end of our trip one of the co-owners used his motorcycles to carry a heavy suitcase to the place we booked our taxi and as we can see they ride people to metro station as well. The location is just a short (maybe 100m) walk from the South Gate of Luoyi Ancient City. We took a night walking into Luoyi Ancient City from the north gate after eating dinner in one of the busiest places known for its street food and getting out of South Gate knowing the hotel is just minutes away. Would definitely recommend this one to others who want to stay near Luoyi Ancient City area.
