Overall the hotel is dated, dirty and needs a lot of maintenance. We booked a two night stay based on other reviews and images on booking.com. On arrival staff were pleasant. Food in the restaurant was very basic, however not terrible. What was terrible however was the broken aircon in our room. We were not advised at check in that there would be no aircon. There was no aircon, or very poor aircon throughout the hotel and in the lobby areas. We made do with this, however at around 0545 hours the following morning we were woken by dance music. It was so loud it felt like a nightclub. We called reception and were told there was a dance class on and nothing could be done. The music lasted a further 1 hour and 15 minutes before stopping. We then wasted the first half of our morning trying to catch up on lost sleep. During 0700 and 0900 hours house keeping then entered our bedroom 3 times to check if we wanted the room made up. We decided to leave and booked alternative accommodation elsewhere. We spoke to Tiki at reception who advised us she spoke with a manager and despite the issues and dance music from before 6am there would be no refund. It took around 40 minutes for the staff to speak with a manager by phone, taking further time away from our trip that day. The manager did not speak with us directly and refused to issue any refund despite the above. We lost out on almost 900k idr (£45) for the one night stay we did not have at this hotel and it cost us around the same to book another. We only wanted refund of one night to cover the cost of alternative accommodation, nothing more. Could not recommend this hotel and would urge others not to waste time or money trying it for themselves.

Great hotel. Lovely staff. Location was excellent in relation the the surf. Not much to do outside of the confines of the hotel - no restaurants, bars, money changers, etc. nearby so please note you will be eating and drinking everything at the hotel unless you take a taxi away from the hotel. Having said that, we couldn’t fault the food and service here. Beach is lovely but swimming largely not possible because of the sharp coral reef, big surf and very strong currents. This is a famous wave location for surfers and you will not be able to take yourself or your kids into the sea for a swim here unless you are planning to surf and are at least at an intermediate, preferably advanced, level of surfing.

Amazing hotel in a remote location surrounded by rice paddies and surf, beautiful villa rooms with a view. Very peaceful and tranquil. Staff in the spa were incredible, best massage. Gym had poor lighting and virtually no air conditioning. Pool service was poor, no water offered and had to walk the length of the 50m pool to get service from the attendant at the other end. We got up repeatedly in the restaurant to get ourselves menus, place orders etc which is unheard of in Bali. Normally staff border on over attentive, no water offered at the table or bread with meal etc. The pub style over amplified loud singer and guitarist made the restaurant unbearable to eat in on the first night (definitely not ambient music!) and there was only one restaurant and it is a remote location. Would have much preferred the traditional non-amplified Balinese music to match the beautiful hotel and location. Food was very reasonable and staff were friendly. Housekeeping were amazing. Loved the cookies in the room and the Bintang on arrival. Will come again.

Tsavo restaurant with the lions and meerkats is amazing. A good breakfast spread and appetising options for dinner. They also offer a dinner buffet since there are many tour groups that visit for the night safari. The pool is quite small, but overlooks the zebras and rhinos, so it is nice. Service staff are fine, meet expectation. The only downside, was being charged Sgd 20 for ONE water glass being broken. Seemed excessive, but the place is priced at the higher end for their unique offering. Definitely a place where kids have a blast and gives adults a different style of Bali experience.

From a stress free airport pick up to our check out, our whole experience was so chilled. We arrived very late but were welcomed enthusiastically and offered complimentary satay and rice as well as a welcome drink. The accom has everything you need but what we really enjoyed was breakfast included and served to our villa with a nice choice of a la carte options. The opportunity to somewhat self cater (we went to the k circle top of the road to the left less than a 5 minute walk) to buy drinks and snacks and the villa had kettle, fridge/ microwave/ cooking plate; ideal for a couple wanting an escape or family needing a little space. Our room had a very comfortable large bed, walk in wardrobe, lovely outdoor heated shower, gorgeous jacuzzi, dining area in and outside. Pool area was lovely and we enjoyed lunch and cocktails served there. We had dinner at our villa ordering from the menu and served at time requested. The staff could not do enough yet left us to chill and relax but we’re ready on hand via portable mobile provided for anything we needed. If it’s a quiet and chilled few days that you need Villa L’Orange is ideal.

The Keramas Sacred River Village is wonderful! I gave it 5/5 for a few reasons- first, the cost is budget but the facility is not! It is a true Balinese style resort, with all the modern creature comforts AC, hot water, restaurant, etc., at incredibly inexpensive prices! The grounds are amazing, the flora, fauna, river winding through the property, traditional temple on the grounds, well-cared for cows (and a calf), goats (and several babies), it’s overwhelmingly beautiful. The staff are amazing - polite, humble, genuinely caring and attentive! I loved them all - so sweet! You will need to rent a motorbike if you wanna leave the resort, which u may not want to leave lol , or simply use Gojek or Grab for a ride.

Abbiamo trascorso qualche giorno in questa struttura elegante ed accogliente, dotata di tutti i confort, molto vicino al mare, con un eccellente ristorante, che offre squisiti piatti locali ed italiani, sempre cucinati con grande cura, che abbiamo apprezzato a colazione e cena; imperdibili Nasi goreng e Mie goreng, tra i migliori di Bali. Lo staff è cordiale e la manager, Anis, sempre gentile e disponibile, ci ha aiutato nell'organizzazione delle nostre escursioni. Infatti, la zona è poco trafficata e si presta a incursioni per ammirare le attrazioni nel'interno dell'isola. Ottima esperienza.
