The location of the hotel is very convenient - 10 min walk away from the convention centre. The train station and bus station is nearby and the walk to the nearby turbocat makes the hotel in a prime location for transport. The front desk was efficient and pleasant. Although I check in early and the rooms were not ready, they were nice to allow us to use the facilites on the 21st floor to relax and shower. Also on the 21st floor is the rooftop bar which has the best views of South bank and the skyline. The Vista King Suite was a huge room with large bathroom sitting area and the bed was super comfortable. It took me awhile to find the door, which was hidden behind a glass door enclosure to block out noise. Housekeeping was efficient and meticulous. Breakfast was either in the cafe on G/F or the 21st floor. Servings were hearty and filling from the a la carte menu.

Such a classic old hotel, with gorgeous views and spacious rooms and bathrooms. The location is convenient, with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and it is right next to the river and gardens. The only negative was though we had a great check in experience, it was very inconsistent across our group. Despite 2pm check-in, one couple still didn’t have a room at 3.15pm. I’d stay again to check out the facilities as we didn’t have time on this occasion.

I recently had a very pleasant stay at the Marriott Brisbane. The overall experience was delightful, starting with the warm and friendly check-in process. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, providing a relaxing environment for my stay. One of the highlights was the breakfast. We weren't happy with the first room but they were more than happy to accommodate a room change. Very happy with where we stayed.

Living Room bar is a must to visit !! Tony and his colleagues were super hospitable, mixed us most of the menu items, and our favourites were the Beet-ness and Espresso 2.0. We stayed for only the one night on the 19th floor and thought the view at night was great. Waking up to see so much of Brisbane in the morning was a real surprise. Breakfast Buffet menu options were vast, however we chose from the à la carte menu paired with some fantastic coffees to start the day.

Mercure Hotel was away from the City centre closest station was Roma Street, but the hotel is located on the free city loop leaving from QUEEN Street. Very helpful staff. Medium sized clean rooms and very good restaurant on ground level We came in on Skytrain from airport first up to Roma Street and then a hike up the hill to the hotel. Quiet rooms and excellent room service. Will stay again here when in Brisbane. Reasonable rates too.

An absolutely excellent place stay, would recommend, even just based on the staff and the breakfast. I observed that great care was taken of people checking in to stay who would be going to the hospitals local to the area. Check-in was so easy, and the reception staff was very kind. Things I loved: * the included healthy breakfast, * free on-site parking *Ferrari in the reception area (no idea why it's there, and I'm no car enthusiast, but it is a classy touch) * very friendly and kind staff * neat and good layout of room * comfortable bed * good air conditioning * friendly people throughout the building * walking distance to Chermside shopping centre * excellent price Thing I didn't like as much: * not really sound-proofed, you sometimes hear sounds from other rooms and hallways * the balcony area did have a bit of a smell in the early evening, dissuading me from eating outside until later on - this might have just been the day I stayed. It was nice enough later to leave the door open and have a bit of a breeze while sleeping. Highly recommended.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. This wasn’t a bad stay by any means- just had a certain feel to it we didn’t like. The property itself has a really strong smell of old wood and beer, which is quite a lot to get used to. The rooms are decent sized, however did find that 7 rooms to one toilet and shower was a little hard to navigate at times. The toilet also constantly had the windows locked open which meant that people walking past outside could see in and be heard which is a little unsettling where privacy is concerned. The room itself had quite a few baby cockroaches in, and after looking found full insect traps in the room so suspect this may be an ongoing issue. The blinds over the windows were very loose also, meaning when laid in bed at night you could see both in and out of our room which was also slightly unsettling. Our room was equipped with a sink, kettle, and fridge which came in handy. The stay was okay and did us for the price, very historic and lots of images on the walls demonstrating so.

Check-in was contactless and a breeze, particularly so as our flight was delayed arriving into Brisbane. Room is dated much older than photos online, but clean, a/c nice and cold, shower has good pressure.
