"Having a 7am International Flight out of Brisbane I decided a night near the airport was a better option than a very early departure from the Gold Coast. The Airport International Hotel is standard motel style with clean functional rooms. Room includes tea and coffee making facilities, plates, cutlery and even wine glasses On the adjacent corner is a convenience/servo and 500metres further along a Dan Murphys. On my way to Dan's I noticed an Italian restaurant, and up a side street, a Japanese restaurant, a Burger/Pizza/Kebab place and a couple of other Restaurant/Bars. MOST IMPORTANT to note, if you are a light sleeper make sure to ask for a room on the other side of the motel from Kingsford Smith drive, the road noise is horrendous!! It is only 10 minutes drive to the airport ( slightly further to the Domestic Terminal ) and if I have a future early departure flight I will stay at the Airport International again."

"A unique stay in Brisbane's historic heart We stayed in a Luxury One-Bedroom Apartment and were pleasantly surprised by how much it felt like a real apartment rather than a hotel room. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and had plenty of room to relax. The hotel's biggest draw is its history. The building was once the World War II headquarters of General Douglas MacArthur, which gives the property a real sense of character that you simply don't get in a modern hotel. The location is excellent, right on the corner of Queen Street and Edward Street, above the Apple Store and within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants and the Brisbane River. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay and made us feel very welcome. The only downside was that the room's thermostat didn't seem to do much, and it was difficult to noticeably adjust the temperature. Aside from that, we had an enjoyable stay and would happily return, particularly for the spacious accommodation and the building's fascinating history."

Was a flying visit, we ate dinner out and because we had a very early departure we were unable to partake of the breakfast offered. Off street parking was a bonus. Wheel chair access a definite plus as no stairs to climb or negotiate if guests have slight disabilities."

The worst part was arriving in the evening to find reception closed, then being forced to deal with staff on the end of a phone who were unhelpful, needlessly difficult, and seemed to take pleasure in being obstructive. An all-around miserable experience."

"Love the hotel, location, cleanliness, comfort of the room, amenities, and friendly staff. HOWEVER, after 8 hours of flying, or driving, the staff greet you only to require you to check yourself in at the kiosk. I went through the whole complex process with an attendant assisting only for the kiosk to tell me I had to see an attendant to check in. WTH! How frustrating and not a great way to be greeted at a hotel. I know the hotel staff was frustrated with the process too and it's another total disconnect from corporate with the individual hotel. I felt it was a cold and impersonal process especially following a long trip when all you want to do is to finally get to a room and away from the public. They also required me to use the kiosk to check out the next morning. I refused , handed the key to the attendant, and walked out. When you pay a hundred or two hundred or more for a room the least they can do is to provide you some personal service for 5 or 10 minutes during your stay. I will stay elsewhere besides an Accor hotel in the future. What a huge failure on their end."
