We enjoyed our stay in Yatter. Thanks to Kiki being super helpful and responsive who upgraded our room, and resolved my issues even before we arrived. I thought it’s still a good value considering all amenities and services, even though it is away from the city centre. But we rather stay somewhere quiet and nice like Yatter for the better quality.

西海岸諾福特酒店非常新，前台小姐熱情有禮，主動和住客打招呼，還大方提供酒精貼和眼鏡清潔貼。這次入住，前台給升級大床房，房間特別大，燈光温馨，地毯椅子特別乾淨。床墊舒服，枕頭不高不低，入睡容易。早餐品種少了些，但精緻，營養搭配合理。晚上9點還有三種粥可選擇，照顧住客的需要。酒店還有洗衣房，還配有內衣殺菌消毒液，貼心周到。

very comfortable hotel with large rooms and bathroom. location is convenient but the road in from is pretty congested during peak hours. the mall behind the hotel looks deserted. walk to mixc mall took less than 10 mins but you'll need to cross two big roads. TV needs improvement as the control is not responsive. Separately booked hotel breakfast at the counter and it costs 98 RMB for two adults which is very affordable for the decent spread of standard hotel breakfasts. they also had special pillows on request. room also had a nespresso machine though capsules provided were not nespresso branded.

This 4 star-ish hotel resort features quite a big pool area with 3 different depth levels as well as some hot spring baths. The sandy public beach is across the road and it was ok for a swim. It is in a relatively remote location with nothing much in terms of shops and restaurants in the hotel vicinity so you ll depend on hotel food(meh) and deliveries. The room had a really bad humid smell and we had to run the dehumidifer non stop to make it bearable. I know Hainan is tropical, but we stayed in many other hotels and this one had it worst making me conclude the smell was due to room not being used/vented for a long time. The worst thing however, by far, was the pool safety megaphone. Basically there was a loud speaker (picture 3) in the middle repeating about safety in 30 second intervals from morning till evening even when nobody was near the pools. Loud enough to be heard from room balconies. Why,anyonye sane would install such an annoyance is beyond me. Breakfast was adequate and reception(Ivy) spoke decent English.

I was particularly impressed by the bespoke details throughout the hotel, which add a touch of elegance and sophistication to the overall experience. The exceptional service provided by the hotel manager and staff made all the difference. They attended to my VIP requests with remarkable care and attention to detail, ensuring that my needs were met with utmost precision. The hotel manager went above and beyond with personalized off-property recommendations, guiding me to the best local gems—from a vibrant jazz bar to a charming walking street and an exquisite French restaurant. Every recommendation was a real treat, showcasing true VVIP bespoke butler-style service that made my trip even more special. I have traveled extensively across Asia, and I can confidently say that MOS Hotel Haikou holds a unique charm that is hard to find elsewhere. Moreover, during my stay, I was fortunate enough to participate in special edition events that showcased the island's vibrant culture and creativity. It was a perfect blend of relaxation and inspiration, making my visit even more memorable. As a film studio executive, I can say with certainty that MOS Hotel Haikou exceeded all my expectations and more. I left with a heart full of gratitude and inspiration, and I cannot wait to return to this extraordinary haven. Unfortunately, my check in experience soured the trip to this Westin. This is the first hotel in the world where I had to pay two deposits, one a pre-authorization via Trip.com and another upon check in. Upon check in I gave the front desk attendant my card to pay for the room and without asking he used it for a deposit. Since this is China, the deposit is generally not returned to a foreign card holder for 4-6 weeks. This is from experience. Though it isn't a lot of money I had cash on me for this purpose to avoid having funds withheld but was not asked. The amount was a combined $250.00, while not a lot of money, simply is annoying to pay as a deposit for a 2 night stay. The room was comfortable with a partial water view, but the hotel internal air conditioner outside the room made loud sounds, occasionally late at night. In addition, the hallways in the hotels are quite warm. The food and service with the F&B was a positive Westin quality which included 1 buffet at a reasonable price, a varied breakfast and a nice sandwich prepared to order. This service was excellent and the staff were well trained in F&B. Unfortunately, the lobby had a bad odor, was very warm, and is not comparable with other Westins I have stayed in mainland China. Staff were helpful but unfortunately, the service was geared to mainland tourists and the hotel did not seem prepared for non Mandarin speakers.

We booked this hotel thinking it would be a luxury experience comparable to the other 5 star properties nearby, but it fell flat of our expectations. The decor while grand at first glance, is best caught on camera only as the scale of the hotel is not large. The ground floor and lobby is very small, and corridors are narrow and tired-looking. The room itself, apart from the bathroom also does no boast anything spectacular. The view itself is quite nice if you are lucky to get a good room. Breakfast is mediocre at best, definitely not worth paying for. Most of it are carb options with very limited choices of anything else. That would have been fine, but the food itself tastes bad as well. Amenities are equally lacking, the pool is located through a convoluted path of suspicious doors, one would be hard pressed to find it by themselves. Apart from that and a tiny gym, there’s nothing much else the hotel has to offer. It’s also noteworthy that the hotel doesn’t occupy the whole building. Half of the premises is actually an office building, diluting the prestige of a Langham even further. Suffice it to say, we will not recommend staying here, unless the priority is to take pretty photos with the decor.

I recently visited the Flair Bar on the 20th floor of the Ritz-Carlton in Haikou and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service. The bartender, Cathy, displayed remarkable skill and creativity with her cocktail mixology, making each drink not just a beverage but a memorable experience. The manager, Sophie, ensured everything ran smoothly, reflecting her excellent management skills and attention to detail. Additionally, the waitresses Vicky and Ruby were the epitome of professionalism and warmth, making our stay even more enjoyable with their attentive and friendly service. The ambiance of the bar was elevated by their combined efforts, making it a must-visit spot. Kudos to the team for their outstanding service which significantly enhanced our evening!

*BEST HOTEL IN HAIKOU* Our family of six (2 elders, 2 kids, and 2 adults) stayed post conference to participate in an Expo which the venue is next door. It was an amazing stay and one of the best family hotels we have stayed in our travels around the world. The pool is a major feature, with play areas for the kids and hot spa pools for the adults. All the staff from the check-in, to concierge, cleaning crew, restaurants were always cheerful, helpful and accommodating to our family which was amazing as we hardly spoke chinese but they always made the effort to speak English to assist us. The concierge Mr Wade in particular was a star! it was my son's birthday and he sourced a birthcake and arranged for a free family photoshoot on the beautiful hotel grounds. The hotel architecture was in the Tang Dynasty style I was told. The breakfast at the Island Bistro is one of the most extensive and tasty I have ever had. The executive lounge is worth the extra budget, the evening drinks and snacks were also taste and healthy. Our family hung out at the lounge most of the evening and the Executive Lounge staff were always friendly and helpful. Overall a 10*** experience, we would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to family and friends.

Ok so this is another B&B home stay that I tried after staying for one night in an overpriced one next door. This is better price wise but much worse in terms of cleanliness and overall care for the place. My room had previous guests hair, plastic wrapping my, a used juice bottle in the fridge and no toilet paper. And also overall for a new place, it looked very run down. I cut my stay short as a result. This stretch of the beach is nice and all these home stays are decent accommodations for like a B&B or Homestay style. Same issues - village is quiet during the hot day and literally nothing to do as there are no swimming pools or gyms or spas or anything really around. Street stalls open in the evening when Sun comes down. This place is also overpriced although much less so than the previous one. Sgd68/night for a room with direct ocean view. Much better than Sgd125/night one next door. Overall recommendation - unless u are Chinese or speak fluent Chinese and don’t mind staying in the room all day reading or doing nothing, while watching the ocean, don’t recommend to stay here. I got a good deal at Holidays Inn nearby for sgd50/night with good breakfast included top floor. Not luxurious and needs some maintenance too, but at least has a gym, a restaurant, and a sky pool. Overall disappointing experience @ this rongshangliao village.
