Hotel Nikko Kaohsiung was the perfect hotel for us in Kaohsiung. It's in a quiet location in the Asia New Bay Area, a few minutes' walk to 2 light rail stations (C7-Software Technology Park and C8-Kaohsiung Exhibition Center) and 1 Metro Red Line station (R8-Sanduo Shopping District). There's a 7-11 and Family Mart directly in front of it for any drink, snack, or toiletry needs. An MWD outlet is also close by for a good breakfast, if you don't want to spend on the breakfast buffet every morning. Room service dining is available and reasonably priced, though the options are limited. Both the check-in and check-out processes went very smoothly. We arrived a few hours before check-in, but the reception staff let us go through the check-in process and leave our bags. When we returned from exploring the neighborhood, we simply collected our keys from reception and found our bags waiting for us in our room. The lap pool area was quite relaxing to hang out at. The only thing missing is a milk tea shop around the corner.

What a wonderful stay! The room was spacious, the view was spectacular, the staff were friendly and attentive, and breakfast was top-notch. Would absolutely stay here again!

This hotel was style and substance from start to finish. Service was impeccable, I enjoyed the executive lounge, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast (abalone porridge with buffet) was amazing.

Had a cracking stay at this hotel! The service was proper quick, and the staff were absolute gems. Big shoutout to Ted and Andy for sorting out a complaint sharpish - they really kept things up to IHG's top notch standards. Also, massive thanks to Sally, Ruru, Molly, Agnes, and Emma for their warm, friendly vibes. Everything ran like clockwork, and the place had a proper welcoming feel. Would definitely recommend and come back again! Cheers for a brill experience!

The location is a bit tricky as it take around 10 mins walk to the closest station, Thus we normally take taxi to travel around the City. The room is very spacous and love the little Japanese Tea Corner!. They also provide free drinks and snacks which refilled on daily basis! House keep is alright, the bed sheet is not really properly made and Room Service is a bit slow for a 5 stars hotel standard. Yet overall staff with good attitude and helpful. Facility is on point, really big Gym Room with a good variety of gym quipment. Swimming pool view is stunning, yet if you decide to get a tan, it may not be right for you as it is covered even though it is an outdoor swimming pool.

The hotel was beautiful and conveniently located. The housekeep who came knocking on our door had food in her mouth - totally bizarre and unacceptable. The stay was very comfortable and the restaurant was wonderful, too. Their microwave was 3000 watts, so we couldn’t sterilize baby bottles and had to go to a convenient store nearby late at night….. I wish it offered more baby friendly amenities.

A nice hotel. Stayed on the 30th floor with a decent view. Gym, hot tub and pool were nice. Asked for a quiet room, but somehow managed to be stuck next to the elevator lol. Sounded Like the subway going past. Lots of restaurants and amenities nearby.

This is different setting room that is clearly interesting (in a good way). The big space for wash and shower is facing the mountains, which is quite good.

Review for Grand Hotel Kaohsiung, Taiwan Our stay at Grand Hotel Kaohsiung was fantastic! We only stayed for one night, so we did not get a chance to try the food, but everything else was perfect. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and well-lit. The beds were super comfy, and the TV was big enough for a relaxing night in. The highlight was definitely our stunning lake view from the balcony—it was such a peaceful and beautiful sight. The automatic toilet seat was a nice touch, though the bidet function was a bit weak and lacked hot water. Also, it would have been nice to have complimentary water bottles in the room. Overall, a wonderful stay, and we would love to return for a longer visit!

We stayed at this resort for one night during a road trip via the Southern Cross highway. The resort offers private onsen only. Big bathtubs and an open-air veranda are part of every room. There is no public spa area. The resort is showing obvious signs of wear and tear and has come into age. Some renovation works such as repainting all wooden parts should urgently be carried out. A small restaurant is one site which offers hotpot-dinner in the evening and a small breakfast buffet in the morning. I found it a bit too pricey for the services offered.
