"Quite a big hotel, with plenty of parking spaces in front of and behind the hotel. This hotel has many buildings; mine was in wing A. Unfortunately, this part is under renovation, targeted for completion by May 25. I initially got a room on the 8th floor, but it was unlivable due to the paint and chemical smells. I requested a room change and am now on the 5th floor; it's a bit better, but there's still a faint paint smell. However, the room is quite spacious and clean. The bed was a bit hard, but the pillows were comfy. The Wi-Fi was unusable, very slow, and with a bad signal (only 5-10 Mbps on a speed test). Breakfast was okay."

"This hotel was absolutely amazing . The staff were so helpful, smiley and friendly . The studio had everything you could have needed with a wonderful sea view . Brilliant sunrise in the morning and sunset at night. The Kantary cafe made the best coffees, the Bistro 43 cooked the Italian food as good as we’d had in Italy and the buffet breakfast was so good. The beach over the road had clear, stil water and beautiful fine sand with great tasting family run pop up Thai restaurants. 10/10 resort"

Не вижу смысла брать завтраки т к кушать не чего, нет кофе, чай на 100 раз заварены пакетики… выпечки ни какой. Пару раз были фрукты, что сильно удивило. Спортзал забыл, когда туда ступала нога человека, коврики в какой-то пыли и облиты жидкостью. Сауна не работает. Морской воды в бассейне не нашли, но увидели как часа в 3 дня мужчина закидывал порошок горстями в бассейн (по запаху хлорка). Вот неоднозначный такой отзыв."

"Location is good, close to the center and just next to large shopping mall. The front also promptly respond to your request, check in and out is smooth. Downside however, the bedsheet and pillow sheet slightly stale. In fact, both me and mom felt itchy throughout the night and we have to lay our clothes over the sheet. The aircon is also quite hot and since it is right by the main street it can be pretty loud. Anyway, it is kind of a good value for budget with many amenities but the hygiene is a deal breaker here for me. Hope it improves."

"- The hotel's location is awesome, right next to Central Rayong shopping mall, just a few steps away. This place is part of the Hilton chain, in their affordable format. They don't do luggage handling, which is fine. - This hotel is super new and clean, totally decked out, and the bathroom is huge. The hairdryer is new, and the TV is modern. Plus, they've got stuff for wheelchairs and an SOS button in the room if you need help. - The staff welcomed us and served us well. The dining room is medium-sized, with in-door and out-door areas, and the food tastes good. - The space in front of each room is pretty proportional, which is great for privacy, but the soundproofing between rooms might not be the best. We can hear doors closing or stuff banging through the ceiling and walls. - If you're staying during the festival, there might be noisy events with loud music in the mall's forecourt, usually from 7 PM to midnight. Maybe probably ask the hotel about it after booking your room. We were pretty stoked with this place. If we can, we'll totally come back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"Super value stay. The hotel is very new, has comfortable room, great view, and super cool swimming pool at the top. A big supermarket just next to the hotel, very convenient. Unfortunately, parking is very small, quite difficult to go up and down."

"The location is convenient for me as the nightly food Bazaar is just a stone's throw away. The rooms are big and well equipped with a microwave oven & a set of dining utensils too - unheard of for a hotel room. The gym, pool, sauna are well maintained & popular with guests & locals too. Staff are very helpful with directions, etc. Truly value for money."

"Our hostess in the restaurant Fon was very good in organizing food orders for us and quick to sort out the cupuchino machine when the milk stopped. She knew my surname, and that was important in the details about the guests. The hotel was quick to sort out queries we had."

The convenience factor is excellent – you're just a two-minute walk from the famous Sai Kaew Beach, the iconic Mermaid Monument, and the bustling Silversand Resort area. Accommodation & Ambience While the resort building itself shows its age, the refurbished rooms create a lovely ambience with beautiful lighting that transforms the older structure into something quite charming. We stayed on the third floor, which offered peaceful mountain views overlooking the national park forest rather than beach views. The setting is genuinely calm and quiet – exactly what we wanted for a family retreat. Important consideration: There's no elevator, so reaching upper floors requires quite a climb. As we joked, shuttling between the room and outside areas four times daily provides a workout in itself! This makes the resort unsuitable for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues. Dining Experience The breakfast experience is delightful, served in a beachside restaurant where you can enjoy your meal with sand between your toes. The selection impresses with a good range of both Western and Thai options, including fresh fruits. The resort's beach restaurant serves quality food with excellent value for money – we tried multiple dishes and enjoyed them all. However, there's no room service, and the restaurant closes early (around 9:30-10 PM). When late-night cravings struck, we found the nearby 7-Eleven (just 5-6 minutes' walk) convenient for snacks. Room Amenities & Issues Room amenities are adequate though not luxurious. The shower area is well-designed with a spacious dressing area. However, we encountered an unpleasant odor from the bathroom drainage system that required some management during our stay. Activities & Surroundings For water activities like parasailing, snorkeling, and jet skiing, you'll need to walk to Sai Kaew Beach to find service providers – fortunately, we found excellent options there. Final Verdict Avatara Resort succeeds as a family-friendly destination that balances beachfront access, peaceful ambience, and reasonable pricing. While it has some limitations (no elevator, early restaurant closure, minor maintenance issues), the overall experience was enjoyable and memorable. Recommended for: Families seeking a calm beach getaway who don't mind some stairs and prefer a quieter resort atmosphere. Consider alternatives if: You need elevator access, late-night dining options, or luxury amenities."
