"Great room decent size friendly staff. Only down side to it the bed was hard and the pillows were thin. Hot water was hit and miss in the shower one day you will have some the next you don't. The heating didn't work in the room but got a heater from reception. Overall a pleasant stay and would stay there again."

"A friendly, warm welcome from Chris set the scene for what was a really comfortable stay. The friendliness, and efficiency shown continued by all I met during my relatively short stay. A shout out to Rachel in the housekeeping team too. The room was very clean and although a little tired looking, with a minor defect in the shower, which was known about and was awaiting a repair, this did not diminish from my overall stay. I was competing in a local Triathlon, with an early start, so a quiet night's sleep was required and it was most certainly quiet. I think that the location does help to some extent, as it is set back nicely, nestling in its own quiet cup-de-sac. I returned post Triathlon to freshen up before travelling (I'd booked a late check-out) and the friendliness and helpfulness remained as high as it had been the day before. I believe that it is the people who make a company and this hotel certainly has great people. Thank you"

"A nice on suite room. Had a good breakfast, ideally located (cut through the park and across the railway bridge to hit the front /amusements). Had a nice cooked breakfast and there was a good continenental style breakfast on offer Would return"

"We were carrying on our 40th wedding anniversary celebrations and the service we got from the reception staff was the best I didn’t get one of girls name all I know she was there when we arrived at 9.30pm ish Friday and was working at around 6ish on Saturday night , she gave us a little grift which was lovely and made our stay even more better"

"A great area of lodges, bars, food places and coffee! 5min walk from Asda and 20mins to the beach and amusement park. Stayed during the heatwave so the place was extremely warm and only a tiny fan which wasn’t much use. Very much out of control of the owners but consider if you know it’s going to be hot when you go. Kitchen had everything you need for cooking (no oven, but has a stove top and a microwave) and utensils. The shelf with crockery was dusty (and therefore the top most dishes and plates). The outdoor space could have been swept before we arrived. A cosy little place and in cooler weather would have been very comfortable for 2 people."

"My go to place to stay before early morning flight from Cardiff Airport. Very welcoming friendly staff, who genuinely want you to enjoy your stay, nothing is too much trouble. Booked an early check in and room, arrived at 11.45am and the room was ready, so had immediate access 😀 the lodge itself is very clean, the room was comfortable and quiet, being on the same site as a Toby Carvery is a bonus, glass of wine or 2 with dinner and just a walk across the car park back to the room. Very easy access to the airport, would recommend this hotel 100%"

"Went to visit Barry Island with my partner who has previously lived in the area. Booked to stay here as it was in a good location and at a reasonable price. We arrived slightly early and the gentleman owner let us check in. The room was small and basic but provided all we needed for the night. We had our own bathroom which was very clean. Tea/coffee facilities and a fridge in the wardrobe also provided. The breakfast was beautiful and set us up for the day and served by the friendly and cheerful owner. Would happily stay here again and would recommend."
