In addition to being cheaper, the facilities are much better"

"The surrounding environment is OK, not far from the city. Shopping nearby is not too close, there is a shopping mall next to it, the living supermarket is a few hundred meters away, the overall experience is good, except that the room is a bit small."

"Hotel Sagres has been my worst hotel experience ever. I went to the hotel for three nights with my family, on our first day the hotel toilet was stuck, after which we had to pack all our belongings and relocate to another room. On the second day we decided to eat at the restaurant, after which we were noticed that the restaurant was not functioning eventough this was promoted at their website and not communicated with us in advance. Despite this we could order room service, but after eating the poorly served and overcooked food my entire family got food poisining symptoms. That same night our air conditioning broke down, which gave us an horrible night with a hotel room that was overheated. The next morning we informed and complained at the reception, and the only thing we got was a we are sorry for the inconvenience and got offered once again another room. During the entire stay, we had poor to no WiFi connection in our hotel rooms. What adds to this horrible experience, is the fact that 99%. Of the staff could not speak English, and was very unkind and unhelpful. Non of the staff, did anything with our complaints and refused to compensate us for all the inconvenience."

Very spacious room, very good shower, and most importantly: comfortable bed, with two different pillow options (I really value the softer ones!). Quick check-in and check-out, professional and friendly reception, as well as a good and varied "desayuno" convinced us that on future trips to Belém this hotel will be our favorite address."

"Due to language barrier, I had a bad impression on their communication as they didn’t respond to my request for checking in much later than the check in time ( 12:00 -18:00 ) stated on the booking. However when I got to the property staff were there waiting to receive me very friendly and checked me in very quickly. The room was so comfortable, clean and beautiful especially the cute round bed that the first time I have ever seen in my life. The property is within walking distance from the tourist attractions."
