"Movenpick Resort and Spa Bintan is the "reincarnation" of the Bintan Lagoon Resort, which underwent extensive renovation and "reopened" under the Movenpick brand recently. Now in the "soft opening" phase of the Resort, the spa and beach club were not ready during our stay. These two key facilities are expected to be ready for the "grand opening" of the Resort later this year. Other than the lack of the spa and beach club, the Resort is still a nice place to stay as its breakfast buffet and its daily Chocolate Hour (complimentary chocolate treats) are fabulous, and the large outdoor heated swimming pool was great without any crowd. Indoor recreational activities such as the gym, etc are available at the recreation village."

The check in and check out was effortless as The Sanchaya has their own check in out counter and staffs who welcomed us upon arrival. We were brought into another world upon arriving at the estate where time didn’t exist. We felt truly pampered and the Artisans were always ready to be a step ahead in all that we plan to do. The estate was beautiful and had a very secluded beach. We will definitely return to what I call my second home again in the near future. Thank you as I truly felt very well cared for during my time at The Sanchaya. A special mention to Greg, the GM who had managed his team really well as it is evident in their warmth and hospitality that their guests truly felt."

The concierge told us it was subjected to availability. They will try to clean up room quickly. We waited close to 3hrs, 15mins before official check in time to get the room. But we noticed neighboring units were empty.. and due to low occupancy, the breakfast was ala-carte instead of buffet."

Soaps, towels, slippers, dental kits were all provided 👍 There's a TV that can access netflix and streaming channels too! The staff were all helpful, warm and friendly and spoke good english so communications were very smooth. The main channel of communications was through Whatsapp. There is a mall nearby (Plaza Lagoi) that has souvenir shops, a minimart, ice-cream shop, bar and a 2-level Mustafa center. Its very worth money-wise! Would love to visit again."

"I booked a pool view room, but discovered that their "pool view" referred to the children's pool in another direction. I felt misled, as this wasn't clearly stated online. However, after discussion, I was upgraded to the room type I originally expected FOC. Thank you to the receptionists Putri and Ansel for their friendly and excellent service. Since we are vegetarian, we were especially grateful to Ridho at port 19 restaurant for the delicious vegetarian options arranged for us. The only drawback was that the room had some minor cleanliness issues on the bed sheet and quilt but overall it was acceptable. I will definitely de back on my next trip. Recommended."

"More apartment style than a hotel and a little dated in terms of the interior design quality. There are a few stains on the floor and in the bathroom. But otherwise, the hotel was great. The staff were extremely kind and went above and beyond to accommodate to our needs. The food options in Cassia itself are limited. Breakfast didn't have much variety but the food tasted fine. The restaurants in the hotel complex are quite pricey so take note. Otherwise, the pool and beach were great. We went on a ranger trail as well which was very fun! I would come back for the staff :) I think they were the best part of the stay."
