While the nearby beach is quite lovely and enjoyable for a relaxing stroll or a quick dip, it might be more of an "ok" rather than spectacular for avid snorkelers."

"Doulos Phos the Ship Hotel is a place of total serenity and peace. Upon arrival ,we were greeted by the warm hospitality of the hotel team. Andri, the hotel manager gave us a good overview of the activities that we can enjoy at the hotel. He personally conducted the tour and the ship hotel and briefed us on its interesting history. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was simple but delicious. The sunset and sunrise were beautiful. In the evening, we had a 10-course Rijstafel, an Indo- Dutch semi fine dining comprising a welcome drink, appetizer,, main course and dessert plus a very special brew of coffee. Overall, it has been a wonderful weekend getaway for me and my wife. Will come back again to explore the surroundings more."

"Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of food. The room was soundproof, ensuring a very good night's sleep. The only minor drawback was that the beef and chicken we ordered for lunch were very tough and hard to chew. However, the staff were attentive and provided excellent service, which made our whole family very happy. We would definitely come back again."

"Second time with Grand Lagoi. Great location near lagoi bay beach. There’s shops in close proximity to the hotel. Hotel has decent breakfast buffet. The warung yeah cafe near the hotel has really fragrant Ayam Bakar. Staff are super friendly and hospitable. Offers free shuttle service to and from the ferry terminal. There is a massage place right beside the hotel for a quick relaxation after you reach Grand Lagoi."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **Outstanding Hospitality from Beginning to End** This was one of the best family holidays we've had. From check-in to departure, every interaction with the staff was sincere and heartfelt. You can tell that everyone genuinely enjoys looking after guests. A special highlight was the spa. My mother enjoyed the 90-minute full spa experience after the reception patiently explained the different packages to help us choose the most suitable treatment. The Chinese-speaking masseuse was exceptional and made the experience incredibly relaxing. Our daughter also had an amazing holiday. She loved Earth Basket, where Kiki made the visit engaging and fun, as well as the watersports, especially her first-ever banana boat ride, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. We also joined the complimentary stargazing sessions on both evenings. Idu and his colleague on one night, and Rusdi and his colleague on the next, shared fascinating knowledge about the moon, stars, navigation and astronomy. It became one of the most memorable activities of our stay. The front desk team, especially Haykal, Feronica and Gian, were always quick to assist us through WhatsApp and in person. Breakfast had an excellent variety every morning, and the rooms were spacious, comfortable and immaculately maintained. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to Mustika, whose leadership and personal warmth were evident throughout the resort. Seeing him personally come over to bid us farewell before we left for the ferry was a wonderful way to end our stay. The Residence Bintan delivers genuine hospitality in every sense of the word. We would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Bintan and look forward to coming back again."

"Location: North-side of Bintan in Berakit area. About an hour car ride (resort can arrange) from BBT ferry terminal. Great for stargazers. Rare gem of Bortle 4 skies at a convenient location near Singapore. Service: Excellent! Especially appreciate the help, advice and utmost support given by Resort Manager, Aider, in ensuring smooth equipment clearance and arrangements as well as the area where we stay is conducive for stargazing. Thankful also for his entire team e.g. Yuni etc. who were all highly responsive and responsible in addressing any requests. Housekeeping and cleanliness: Excellent! Rooms: Beautiful, traditional, cultural, wooden Joglo design. Large, clean and spacious. Comfortable bed. Well equipped. Food and Beverage: Yummy breakfast with a good variety of options included in the hotel package. The restaurant's ala carte menu for food and drinks was great too. We’ve enjoyed eating their Martabak Telur, Chicken Rendang pizza, Gado gado, Bintan Exotica Nasi Goreng and Avocado Juice. Nearby Shops: About 8-10 mins walk to a minimart selling snacks, drinks, toiletries etc. About 20-25 mins walk to a local barber and eatery (Kuliner Rasa). Had a lovely and enjoyable stargazing and astrophotography experience under dark skies at open beachfront area. Thanks to the resort for flexibility and fantastic support given to facilitate good stargazing experience!"
