"The staff were always smiling, friendly, and incredibly kind throughout my stay. The restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent and made dining very convenient and enjoyable. The only minor issue was that the drain in the bathroom didn't flow very well. Aside from that, everything else was wonderful. I enjoyed a nice view of downtown from my room, and the location was perfect, with convenient Uber access to many places. Overall, I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay."

"I'm not the one that leaves bad reviews but I have to do this . This isn't your typical holiday inn you're used to . Far from it . Stains on blinds, not the typical spacious room I'm used to . The heating system made constant dragging noise at intervals all night . We couldn't sleep . Not what I was expecting . Then I called to see if there was an option to get the room upgraded , the lady that picked up was too eager to shut me off . There was no professionalism . Microwave was making creaking noise and the tv wasn't working when I checked in though that was fixed promptly when I called them in . I'll give them a 5/10. I've been to other Holiday Inns in Edmonton, and they are top class with very decent people at the front desk . This is just one old hotel trying to live up to the franchise name. Not close !!!!! Never again!!!"

"Room was as advertised and fit everyone comfortably! Location was great! Only downfall, I sent in my credit card to have on file for my grandparents to easily check in to the hotel and not need to provide anything, however upon arrival, front desk demanded they also provide another credit card for the deposit. Weird, since they already had mine and the form filled out for the deposit."

Location was super convenient — easy to walk around downtown Calgary, restaurants, cafés, and shopping nearby. The room was spacious and cozy, the bed was super comfortable, and the breakfast service was excellent. Also loved the little details and the old historic atmosphere of the hotel."
