"Overall, our stay at Madison Apartments was pleasant once we finally got into the room. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed — from toiletries to kitchen essentials. The A/C wasn’t working properly at the time, but it wasn’t a big issue since the weather was cool. However, the check-in process was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I had called ahead to ask if we could check in just 30 minutes early as I wasn’t feeling well and needed to rest. Upon arriving around 1:35 pm, we were told the room wasn’t ready, which I completely understood since the official check-in time was 2 pm. But when we came back at 2:40 pm, the room was "still not ready". The receptionist asked us to wait another 30 minutes to an hour — we ended up waiting until almost 3:30 pm, and it was still not prepared. It was honestly a terrible start to our stay — being sick, exhausted, and having nowhere to rest while continuously being told “just a little longer.” The receptionist was kind and apologetic, but it was clear she wasn’t getting any real updates from housekeeping. It felt disorganised and unprofessional for an apartment of this standard. Breakfast was another letdown for $25 per person — very basic, with no hot food. Just bread, cereal, fruit in syrup, and some bakery items. The pancakes were the only saving grace. Coffee mix wasn’t good either. Once inside, though, the apartment itself made up for it — spacious, comfortable, and had everything you could need. It’s a nice place overall, but the check-in process seriously needs improvement."

"Hyatt Hotel is located beside Lake Burley Griffin. Easy to reach by car but seems like there is not much public transport nearby. We rented a car for our trip in Canberra so accessibility wasn’t an issue for us. Hotel parking was AUD30 in their underground carpark. They recommended for us to park on the street parking. Paid parking for daytime from 8.30am. Parking overnight was free. Popular landmarks of Canberra was within minutes drive from the hotel. Snapper & Co. restaurant was 5 minutes drive from the hotel and they serve great fish and chips! From the exterior of the hotel, you could tell that the hotel is of a certain age. But the interior was grand and nice! The room was spacious and clean! Was surprised to see Le Labo amenities! Bath salt was also provided. Had 2 other rooms on a different booking, and they managed to allocate rooms side by side. By far the best hotel I have ever stayed in!"

"Overall, my stay here was exceptionally satisfying. The cleanliness was impeccable; the room was spotless, the bedding was pristine and odor-free, and even the bathroom corners were thoroughly cleaned, which made me feel very secure about the disinfection efforts. The hotel's location is a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, with lush surroundings, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The lobby and public areas are also designed with great style. The service was a definite highlight; every staff member, from check-in to check-out, was smiling and friendly. The front desk efficiently handled my check-in and patiently provided information about the local area, and room service was incredibly prompt. As for facilities, the bed was comfortable, the Wi-Fi was stable, and the gym equipment was quite new. The breakfast spread was extensive, offering both Western and Chinese options. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay, and I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit."

"Booked with breakfast which was supposed to start service at 6:30am. We stayed with 2 kids and hoping to start eating at 6:30. We arrived 10minutes early and were told they’re not open til 6:30. All lights were still off. 1 male staff on his hoodie (not in uniform) was turning on the coffee machine and the toaster. No food on the table. Coffee machine did not have milk. No juice or water. No bread. NOTHING was ready at 6:30. We were disgusted by the attitude of the male staff. I spoke to Manisha (front desk) complaining that there was no food ready. She just looked at me and had no idea what to do. We ended up having maccas for breakfast instead of having fresh eggs, bacon, fruits, pancakes, etc. For the kids. What a shame!"
