We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the La Venta Park Museum featuring ancient Olmec artifacts,. It is in a commercial-industrial area, quite far from shopping, other atractions and restaurants. Its own restaurant is basic and modest, but plentiful. Unfortunately, the La Venta Park Museum is beyond its best days and looks quite shabby. The hotel staff would not go out of their way to help. They would not deign to mail us, at our cost, some clothing forgotten in a closet. Although they advertise putting their shuttle at the guests' service (given their remote location) within a radius of 4 km, we still had to pay for a taxi to the ADO bus station within this radius.

Well not perfect by any means, in my opinion they did well enough to deserve an excellent. It is a new modern and rather stark operation so if you're into charm and history, this may not be for you. I found the staff very friendly and helpful and doing their best to please. They lacked a bit of professionalism and polish but made up for it in enthusiasm. I found the lobby and breakfast area to be particularly Stark and without charm. The rooms were sleek and modern and well-equipped with most anything you could need. I found the room safe to be ugly placed and rather useless for me since it was placed on the floor in the closet and to read the instructions or program that you would need to lie on the floor next to you safe. Rather odd placement. One bit of above and beyond the expected from the staff, really surprised and impressed. When checking in I mentioned to the desk clerk I would need to find an early morning taxi and ask if that would be a problem. She asked me at what time and I saw her write it down. I was surprised when I arrived in the lobby to check out that a clerk pointed out a man waiting at a table and told me that was my driver. And very professional driver was nice car to charge me a lower price than I paid for a taxi the previous day. Impressive. One negative to me is the fact that the hotel is at the edge of the downtown area and at night appears to be a rather seedy area where I would not feel comfortable walking at night.

My wife and I took a mini vacation and booked a four-night stay at the Marriott Villahermosa Hotel because it’s ranked as a quality hotel. However, we were disappointed with some issues we experienced. The lobby has a musty smell, and the metal door frame in the bathroom of our room had much corrosion due to moisture condensation from the air conditioner register. A hotel of this category and price should not have these issues. The worst complaint is that we had trouble sleeping Saturday night because of the loud music from a social event that lasted until 4:00 am.

Nos hospedamos una noche mi esposo, mi perro y yo. El hotel cuenta con estacionamiento en frente, tiene un guardia amable, demasiado amable en algunos momentos. En la recepción sanitizan todo lo que tocas con un liquido vaporoso pero el señor te ayuda con las maletas y toca todo, tuve que pedirle amablemente que no tocara más cosas en la habitación, que con eso estábamos bien. Admiten mascotas con un costo adicional (del que me enteré hasta que llegué ahí), como $300. Nos permitieron dejarlo solo en la habitación siempre y cuando no se suba a la cama y no haga ruido. Recién habíamos llegado, escuchamos llegar a otros huéspedes con un perrito y los colocaron justo en frente de nosotros, no sé si les parece buena idea colocar a todos los perros en el mismo piso o zona... lo cual no fue tan buena idea porque se ladraban de puerta a puerta. Afortunadamente mi perro no es tan intenso y después de un rato se calmó. Te venden que la habitación tiene balcón, no hay nada de vista, no se pierden de nada. La zona es concurrida y las calles están llenas de baches y comercio informal. Está muy cerca del centro pero no parece una zona muy segura. La habitación es cómoda y amplia, el WiFi llega bien a la habitación y la tele tiene cable. El baño estaba bastante limpio y la cama también. Como hotel para pasar la noche está bien, pero si se van a quedar más días recomendaría algo más sobre las avenidas principales que está más bonito.

Nos hospedamos una noche mi esposo, mi perro y yo. El hotel cuenta con estacionamiento en frente, tiene un guardia amable, demasiado amable en algunos momentos. En la recepción sanitizan todo lo que tocas con un liquido vaporoso pero el señor te ayuda con las maletas y toca todo, tuve que pedirle amablemente que no tocara más cosas en la habitación, que con eso estábamos bien. Admiten mascotas con un costo adicional (del que me enteré hasta que llegué ahí), como $300. Nos permitieron dejarlo solo en la habitación siempre y cuando no se suba a la cama y no haga ruido. Recién habíamos llegado, escuchamos llegar a otros huéspedes con un perrito y los colocaron justo en frente de nosotros, no sé si les parece buena idea colocar a todos los perros en el mismo piso o zona... lo cual no fue tan buena idea porque se ladraban de puerta a puerta. Afortunadamente mi perro no es tan intenso y después de un rato se calmó. Te venden que la habitación tiene balcón, no hay nada de vista, no se pierden de nada. La zona es concurrida y las calles están llenas de baches y comercio informal. Está muy cerca del centro pero no parece una zona muy segura. La habitación es cómoda y amplia, el WiFi llega bien a la habitación y la tele tiene cable. El baño estaba bastante limpio y la cama también. Como hotel para pasar la noche está bien, pero si se van a quedar más días recomendaría algo más sobre las avenidas principales que está más bonito.

Well not perfect by any means, in my opinion they did well enough to deserve an excellent. It is a new modern and rather stark operation so if you're into charm and history, this may not be for you. I found the staff very friendly and helpful and doing their best to please. They lacked a bit of professionalism and polish but made up for it in enthusiasm. I found the lobby and breakfast area to be particularly Stark and without charm. The rooms were sleek and modern and well-equipped with most anything you could need. I found the room safe to be ugly placed and rather useless for me since it was placed on the floor in the closet and to read the instructions or program that you would need to lie on the floor next to you safe. Rather odd placement. One bit of above and beyond the expected from the staff, really surprised and impressed. When checking in I mentioned to the desk clerk I would need to find an early morning taxi and ask if that would be a problem. She asked me at what time and I saw her write it down. I was surprised when I arrived in the lobby to check out that a clerk pointed out a man waiting at a table and told me that was my driver. And very professional driver was nice car to charge me a lower price than I paid for a taxi the previous day. Impressive. One negative to me is the fact that the hotel is at the edge of the downtown area and at night appears to be a rather seedy area where I would not feel comfortable walking at night.

The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very clean and very clean. Incapable of giving good attention to the guest, the reception boy was again so distracted that I forgot that we were sitting in front of him, being unable to warn that we could already enter our room, Until I had to remind you that we were there to get in, it was where I realized that we were not the only one we expected to get in, a family was in the same situation. The next morning I went out very early (5.30 am) and I realize that the reception girl was almost sleepy uploaded in front of the reception, I understand that it may be difficult to turn in the night, but that terrible impression causes the guest. I just wanted and ask you that if you paid for a room that would occupy 2 guests, the minimum one expects is to put items for 2 people, such as 2 bottles of water, 2 soaps, etc. On that day, we returned to the hotel at 8 pm, The room was identical to what we had left, “They had forgotten to clean it.” I have to admit that I had never passed and it's the first time I passed. I didn't know what to do... so terrible had been my experience on the second day at the ONE. I have to admit that the girl that was at that time at reception, was the only one who really loved her job or definitely has a service vocation, I look for a way to solve the problem and I stay in another room. Today we are up a little later to enjoy the “breakfast” included in the price and ohhhh Surprise!!!! 2.0. A huge cucarach in the lift, unfortunately, did not give me time to take the photo, to show the unpleasant situation. I know that it's bad and it's not to assume the guest that gives you that benefit, (egg, rice, beans). But it is where I realize the environment among hotelmates is bad, the lady who kindly takes care of breakfast, asked her receptionmates to set on TV for the guests we met and were 3 times that The hotel was a very good hotel, and the hotel was a good hotel.

I stayed at this place a few years ago so I decided to stay again. I had a great time. I enjoyed the breakfast as they have local fruits. The hotel was not hard locate and it is has an easy access to other activities in the city. Also there is an OXXO and a gas station close to the hotel. Hotel staff were courteous and respectful and able to answer questions about the city.
