"The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were very new. Upon check-in, we received a free drink voucher, one per person. The room had a scenic balcony, which was a great experience. (Note: Only rooms on the 5th and 6th floors have the best balcony views!) All drinks in the minibar were complimentary for the first round. The hotel has a paid underground parking garage for 10 euros a day. You can also park on the street nearby, but considering safety and the difficulty of finding a space, we opted for the hotel parking. The garage has a direct elevator to the hotel, which is very convenient. You need to ring a doorbell to contact the front desk for entry and exit, ensuring good security. Breakfast hours are from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. The breakfast selection was quite varied, and the quality was average."

"Hotel was nice and all, location is great, however: - The walls are paper thin, you will hear literally everything going on next door and above, and if there is any sort of festival outside going on, good luck sleeping! - There is a vallet service as the parking lot is small, and the staff takes your car to a nearby lot if required. Staff scratched my rental car's driver side door during my trip, and although I had no issue as I had insurance, I did not get as much as an apology, even after they checked the security cameras and saw the car came in without damages."

"The Chania Hotel is a modern hotel that has good size rooms and balconies. The rooms are very comfortable with a very beautiful shower and the bed is nice. Unfortunately the hotel couldn’t meet my pre-stay request of a higher up room and request for an early check-in so I was located on the first floor right across from the stairs. The view wasn’t ideal as per picture with constant construction outside during the days. The staircase also doesn’t have good acoustics and echoes throughout with people’s voices carrying quite loudly. I did ask again for a higher room happy to move rooms but they didn’t come back to me on this unfortunately. Breakfast spread was alright not a huge hot variety but the staff were very efficient and friendly. Location was good across from the old town and some good eats around it."

"Wonderful service , great breakfast , perfect location and enormous rooms for Greek islands .. My room had a balcony which made it more special . Great bathrooms , and lots of closet space. Just keep in mind that don’t bring too bulky luggage , coz the cab can drop you off around 100 meters away ."

"This is a tiny boutique hotel with actually relatively large rooms . There is NO parking as you can’t drive into the city centre, so you will have to call ahead and they will send someone to drag your luggage all the way to the hotel . The place has a history as it was a house of an aristocratic Turks during the ottoman ruling . The rooms are modern and extremely comfortable , wide , the service is great . It is very close to everything you need , the city centre, the boats , the market etc… I will definitely recommend this hotel and I will stay here next time we come back to Crete ."

"I don’t even know where to begin with this review of an absolutely perfect hotel! Every single detail, every encounter with the staff(who felt like friends by the time we left), every breakfast, every coffee to start the day was done with perfection and genuine care. We were on Crete to hike and missed the morning breakfast nearly every day due to our departure times, but Vassilis offered to prepare to-go breakfasts to fuel our days! No hotel manager has ever done that for us before! The one day we were able to dine at the hotel was excellent and it’s included! There’s something extra special about Old Town Chania, to be sure, but Serenissima is next level charming and we were so impressed with our experience from booking to checkout! I can’t recall when I’ve ever had such a personal, kind, genuinely interested and caring interaction with a hotel and the people who make it wonderful, and I travel A LOT! From the many great restaurant suggestions to arranging transportation and giving guidance on the way things are run in Greece, we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with everyone we had the pleasure of meeting at this lovely gem of a hotel. I will be back and I won’t stay anywhere else…unless I just move to Chania & open that cat sanctuary ;)"

"Absolutely stunning place in a perfect location just a short stroll along the sea front to the historic old town of Chania and the Venetian Harbour. In the other direction an even shorter stroll to the harbour and Nea Chora beach - which has a ton of bars shops and restaurants. Property is directly on the seafront in a real tranquil location - with a beautiful pool and incredible sea views everywhere you stood. The staff were fantastic and even contacted me on WhatsApp prior to my stay to arrange my check in. Had my room ready early - which was fabulous. I was incredibly lucky to have a suite with a hot tub right on the sea front - beautifully decorated, fresh, clean and the views from the balcony were incredible. I believe breakfast is included for all guests, which was lovely with a wide variety of hot and cold food drinks and pastries. The only criticism is of myself that I didn’t stay longer. I would come back in a heartbeat!"

"The hotel has a great location. It's very close to the port of Chania, just a few minutes' walk from the overnight ferry from Piraeus in Athens. To get to Chania city center/bus station, take bus 13 for about 20 minutes. The hotel staff were very friendly; the receptionist even gave us detailed directions to Balos on the day we were going. The hotel breakfast was also delicious and plentiful; the orange juice was freshly squeezed from fresh oranges, and the peaches were also very tasty."

"This hotel was perfect on all aspects, the room was amazing, big very clean and well equipped. The view from the balcony and the swimming pool was brilliant! I really enjoyed the spa and the interior pool as well. The restaurant of the hotel was perfect too, the food was really good. But most importantly, the staff of the hotel was highly professional and the nicest people! All of them were very good to us and treated us so well. I include everyone in the staff including the cleaning lady who was so lovely too. All in all this might have been my best holiday in a very long time if not ever. I highly recommend this hotel! "I can only say that 95% of the pictures of this hotel on Ctrip are very different from the actual situation. There is also a bird's-eye view in the hotel's exterior pictures. Those who don't know will think it is a three- or four-story white independent building with a yard, and there is a parking lot and swimming pool inside. In fact, this hotel is at the end of a small alley in the ancient city of Chania. It is a two-story tavern-like building, like a homestay. I don't know where the name of the hot spring comes from, anyway, there is no hot spring. The room we booked is a 1.8-meter bed and two sofa beds. As a result, the room provided by the hotel is a small room at the corner of the stairs. There is only a 0.8-meter sofa bed and a 1.5-meter double bed. The bathroom is closed, small and very dirty. As soon as the children came in, they clamored that they were deceived and asked me to change hotels. We communicated with the hotel through Ctrip, and the hotel argued like this: First of all, the photos are seriously inconsistent with this point. The hotel said that our hotel has many room types and we can't take photos of them all. (Where did the photo with a yard and a swimming pool come from?) Secondly, regarding the serious inconsistency of the booked bed type, the hotel said that we have a family room with three beds. But yesterday a family of four came and we gave them the room. (What is this? We booked what we want. It's like our room was downgraded without our knowledge, and the hotel refused to apologize, refused to refund, and even made excuses). After failing to communicate with Ctrip, we changed to another hotel the next day. At least the new one was clean and tidy, and it matched the pictures. But this bad hotel didn't refund us a penny. This was our first bad experience in Chania. I hope that if you travel there in the future, don't make the same mistake again☹️ (The pictures I attached are our actual rooms. Please compare them with the pictures on Ctrip! Then in the last picture, a person is standing there. The small glass door behind her is the main entrance of this hotel deep in the alley! There is a table smaller than a pancake stall inside the small door, which is the hotel front desk!)"

"The hotel was new, clean and at a very good location 5-10 mins walk from the old harbour. The hotel had magnificent views overlooking the sea of sunrise and sunset from the infinity pool at the roof. Breakfast was fine and all of the staff were so friendly anf helpful. The staff also went above and beyond to assist me and make calls for me when I had issues with my booked tour. They even gave us a free Cretan bottle of wine to celebrate our stay and daily housekeeping was conducted to ensure cleanliness. I am very satisfied with my stay here!"

"Comfy, cosy and great bolt hole, in the very heart of the old town, but by being 1 street back you lose the noise of the harbour restaurants etc. Taxi can drop you pretty much at the door, unlike many in the old town. Great hotel group, nothing is too much trouble. Cute little balcony overlooking one of the many archaeological sites. Excellent air con, comfy bed. Kitchen not ideal for much self catering but surrounded by wonderful places to eat from street food kiosks to grand restaurants, who needs to cook. Small food shop 100yrds. Fridge and kettle + coffee maker are pretty much all you might use, but there is a 2 ring hob. Yes like so many in the Old Town its stairs, 4 flights but as lifts are not allowed in these amazing historic buildings it is the same for all. Close to all you need 10 min walk to main bus station, 10 min to modern shopping area. 2 mins to harbour with restraurants, museums and boat trips."
