"There were no rooms available for two people, so we stayed in two single rooms. The TV in my husband's room was malfunctioning and would turn on and off... The room was small, and the refrigerator was at the back, under the table... The toilet was also small, and the door was right in front of you when you sat down (close enough to touch your knees). It was disappointing to see such differences even among single rooms. My room was comfortable and had no problems."

"This is the second most expensive hotel I've ever stayed in, but it's the best. It cost around $570 per night for three adults and one child, and we stayed for four nights in total, with two nights per night. We had a private onsen (hot spring bath), but you get what you pay for. The scenery here is absolutely stunning. My baby and I were able to enjoy our private space while leisurely strolling around the Choshi Electric Railway and Inubozaki Lighthouse. The hotel service was meticulous and thoughtful, and my wife was very satisfied. We'll definitely come back next time."

"The staff at the Seagull Hotel were incredibly warm and welcoming. When we arrived at the station during a storm, the hotel staff kindly offered us dry towels to wipe away the rain. The grilled chicken skewers shop across from the hotel was also delicious (pictured below, just across the street from the hotel, a half-minute walk away). The elderly staff there were very cheerful and friendly. Choshi City is a warm and peaceful little town with beautiful scenery and abundant natural resources. The vegetable and seafood soy sauce pancakes were also very tasty! I loved it."

"Great view of the beach, with easy access down the the shore. The lobby was very quaint and felt almost lived which gave a very cozy vibe. The staff were all very kind, and while English was difficult, it was manageable with apps and pantomiming. There was a surprise, and free, bus tour of the area. The food was delicious and eaten with a view of the ocean. My favorite part was the massage chair in the room, which was nice after several weeks of travel. Overall a very relaxing spa-like hotel."
