That extra service standard was maintained throughout our weekend stay by all the staff who were all professional, friendly and efficient. "We have just completed our 3 day stay here in the 2 rooms with shared bathroom on the top floor. Both rooms had superb views over the Castle or parkland and woods and both were of a good size with seating, hanging space, tea-making equipment and TV. Shared bathroom with shower over the bath. These 2 rooms are at the top of the house (2 flights of stairs), with no other rooms adjoining. Very good choice at breakfast, with home-cooked food and very friendly service. And the bonus of home-baked cake and coffee/tea in the late afternoon (the sitting room also has an honesty bar and a cupboard with a plethora of games. Parking is just outside the front door, space for 7-8 cars? We also made use of the electric car chargers at the Castle during our stay which was useful. The location's obviously great for the Castle and for other places (we visited Battle, Bodiam Castle, Scotney Castle and Bateman's, but it's near to quite a few other places). What we liked best: the spacious house, the views, its location, the peacefulness and the friendliness of Kiki and her staff."

"Bit of a late review but wanted to add it as this is a really nice place to stay. Stayed here for one night as needed to travel into Cranbrook and this was a lovely little B&B. The room we had was spacious, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed for the night and the next morning. We had tea and coffee facilities in the room plus a fridge and a big, comfy double bed with lovely pillows, cushions and bedding all nice and clean. The furniture in the room was lovely too. We had an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, basin and toilet all nice and clean. We ate dinner during the evening in the pub downstairs, the food was really declious. Breakfast too, the next morning was delicious, lots of choice. The only thing to say is that there are no shops or facilities nearby. Would definitely stay here again."
