"Clean and tidy, with a great location just 100 meters from the Plaza de Armas. There are many restaurants, shops, and bars nearby. The exterior is soundproofed with double-glazed windows; you can hear music from the bars, but it's not too noisy—enough to sleep in. The window overlooks a small alley; if you want to take a taxi, you have to walk about 50 meters because cars can't drive in."

"A charming small boutique hotel that truly exceeds expectations. The staff were excellent and very helpful throughout our stay, with only a minor issue related to room cleaning. The room was beautifully appointed with thoughtful touches such as special teas and warm water bottles in the bed. Breakfast was included and presented in a unique and enjoyable way, making it feel special compared to standard hotel breakfasts. We also enjoyed a very good dinner at the hotel. Exceptional value for money. The location is ideal—on a quiet, narrow side street with little traffic, away from tourist crowds yet close enough to walk to most attractions. Highly recommended."

"The hotel converted into an ancient house is quite large inside and very local. There are many public rest areas and the courtyard landscape is beautiful. There are often surprises in corners, antique furniture decoration, and the atmosphere is full. The room is very spacious and the bathroom is large. There is a separate toilet and shower room. The independent balcony can rest and enjoy the street view. Luggage can be stored at the front desk and 2 minutes walk from the weapons square in the city center."

"I love the hospitality of their staffs. Alfredo is really great and informative receptionist. I had Walter escorted me to my room and tell the details about the hotel and the nearby kusikancha which I can see from the rooftop windows. It is in walking distance from every historical sites. The oxygen supplement and coca tea just in case you suffer the altitude sickness, luckily I haven't used it."

The location was outstanding and made it incredibly easy to explore Cusco, but what truly set this property apart was the incredible care, craftsmanship, and attention that went into its restoration. Every detail felt thoughtful and intentional. The hotel manages to feel luxurious and refined while still honoring the history and character of the property. As a boutique hotel with only a handful of rooms, Casa Clara offers an experience that feels intimate, personal, and special from the moment you arrive. What impressed us most was how much pride the staff clearly take in the property. You can feel it in the way they talk about it, care for guests, and share the story behind its restoration. Rather than simply staying at a hotel, it felt like we were staying in a thoughtfully preserved piece of Cusco’s history. We were fortunate to receive an upgrade during our stay, which made an already wonderful experience even more special. The accommodations were beautiful, comfortable, and impeccably maintained. The service was exceptional throughout our stay, and the front desk team deserves special recognition. Diego, Gabriel, and Cecilia were warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping guests make the most of their time in Cusco. Whether providing recommendations, answering questions, or simply sharing their enthusiasm for the property and the city, they consistently went above and beyond. One of our favorite memories was following Cecilia’s recommendation for a local pizza restaurant, which ended up being one of the most unexpectedly memorable meals of our entire trip. It’s exactly the kind of local insight that makes a stay feel personal and authentic. Casa Clara is more than just a beautiful hotel—it is an experience. The combination of history, design, hospitality, location, and genuine passion from the staff made it one of the highlights of our journey through Peru. We would return in a heartbeat."

"I made two separate reservations at Tariq Boutique since my excursion to Manu Reserve would start and end in Cusco. There is always someone available at the front desk, and they helped me arrange airport transport for an additional charge. The transport was waiting for me when I exited and helped me unload my luggage to check in. I was able to do a delayed check in very early in the morning, and the staff even hauled my heavy luggage up to a second floor room for me, which was a huge relief after a long flight. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I appreciate the 24/7 availability of hot and cold drinking water as well as coca leaves and other teas and coffee in the dining area. The breakfast staff (especially Mercedes) are friendly, and the fruit and cold cuts spread was a nice way to pass the morning. Turn down service is lovely, the staff leaves chocolates on your mattress and tucks warm water bladders under the sheets. The staff was remarkable with storing my luggage for 6 days while I was on my excursion and had my luggage waiting for me in my new room when I returned. The transfer to the airport upon departure was early and prompt, which was very appreciated. Quiet, clean, and very hospitable stay! Only criticism is the hot water fluctuates quite a bit during showers, so you have to stay vigilant to sudden spikes or drops in temperature. Other than the hot water consistency (it never runs out, it just fluctuates in temp), this place is perfect!"

"Our stay at this hotel was excellent and very pleasant. From the first day, everything was in order and fully met our expectations. We especially appreciated the cleanliness: the room was cleaned every day and was always tidy, clean, and had a constant feeling of freshness and care. The room was comfortable and functional; the beds were very comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, allowing us to rest well each night. Although the bathroom is a bit small, it perfectly fulfills its purpose and is kept clean, so it didn't significantly affect our experience. The breakfast is simple but truly delicious. The food is well-prepared, fresh, and sufficient to start the day off right. The staff's attention was another very positive point. We found them friendly, helpful, and always attentive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Without a doubt, it's a hotel we recommend and where we would stay again."
