"We are very grateful for our stay at Shanyuyishe Boutique B&B. We stayed here for 15 nights and felt very comfortable throughout. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed: our suitcases were brought upstairs, and we checked in from our room, which was a lovely gesture. The place is picturesque, with a pond and wooden elements throughout the building. We had the honeymoon room, which had everything we needed: a covered balcony for rainy days, a comfortable bed, a desk for work, a modern toilet and shower with hot water, and even a full tea set. We felt well taken care of, and any issues were met with an immediate response. After a brief misunderstanding, we were also given a wonderful gift of chocolates and delicious coffee, which made us feel especially welcome. For breakfast, the lovely manager always asked what we liked to eat and was incredibly accommodating. We could choose from rice noodles, porridge, eggs, fresh corn, fruit, and, on some occasions, rose cakes. We were satisfied, though for some ‘early risers’ it could be a quite late breakfast, starting at 8.30 am until 10.00 am. It was also great that guests could use the coffee machine, fridge, and kitchen during the stay. We truly have only positive things to say about our stay, and we highly recommend this place to other travellers. Dali is very touristy, which was the only tiring factor at times, but that has nothing to do with this B&B."

"Staying at Pullman Dali with kids was a fantastic experience! The first-row Erhai Lake view from our window was absolutely stunning. The heated pool had children's floats available, and the service was thoughtful, even providing kids' toiletries. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options. It's very close to the Erhai Lake Greenway, making it stress-free and comfortable for family travel. Getting to and from the ancient city was convenient, and our whole family was very satisfied."

"The hotel's location is very convenient – close to the ancient city yet incredibly peaceful, with a lovely garden design. The service was excellent, a true butler-style experience. Our butler, Xiao Bin, was fantastic; he drove us around and even took us to some great local restaurants. He's a very enthusiastic young man. The front desk service was also very good. The 'Tian Yuan' (round sky) landscaping is perfect for photos. Overall, I'm very satisfied and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Dali."

The location is great, right in the Dali Ancient Town but in a quiet corner. We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!"
Honglongjing Hotel
"Initially, I was hesitant about staying inside the ancient city, but then I thought about how convenient it would be for dining and shopping. So, I ultimately chose Honglongjing, which seemed like a fairly large hotel. The room itself was really spacious, and the twin-bed room even came with a bathtub, which was a pleasant surprise. We spent New Year's Eve here, and watching fireworks and the sunrise from the rooftop garden was a truly special experience – it was the most lively New Year's I've ever had. The breakfast was also excellent, with both Chinese and Western options that my child loved. It's quite rare to find such a tranquil spot amidst the bustling ancient city. It would have been even better if the toilet was a smart one. One minor drawback of being in the ancient city is that you have to walk outside to catch a taxi, but thankfully, it wasn't too far. Perhaps because it was Chinese New Year and very busy, one day our room wasn't properly cleaned, and they just hastily replaced some towels and disposables. I would recommend this place to friends next time, and perhaps the experience would be even better during the off-peak season."
