The breakfast spread was excellent, and we received complimentary fruit in the afternoon and a sweet soup in the evening. Upon checkout, we even got a brown sugar souvenir. They offer free travel photography without any sales pressure, which was a pleasant surprise. I'm very satisfied! The facilities are complete, and the view is absolutely stunning. The environment and everything else were great, exceeding our expectations. We had a very comfortable stay. After checking out, I realized I'd left my phone in the room. The staff helped me find it later, which I'm incredibly grateful for. The rice paddies were also beautiful and made for fantastic photos! 🤭"

"I was very satisfied with the villa room type. Although it was by the water, the room remained dry and not humid, and it was spacious with well-chosen, aesthetically pleasing decor. From the outdoor terrace, I was lucky enough to witness a sunrise with a sky full of red light and a misty mountain view by the water in the early morning. I have to say that the natural landscape created by the hotel truly lives up to the word "secret haven." The natural environment is superb; I even saw several bird species I hadn't seen before within the hotel grounds: the Yellow-bellied Sunbird, Scaly-breasted Munia, Black-crested Bulbul, and Crested Myna, making it super friendly for birdwatchers. Additionally, the cycling path around the hotel is very serene, and the bicycles provided by the hotel are great to ride. Going for a ride with family or friends to see the magnificent mountain views and open fields is a very enjoyable experience."

The hotel should at least provide earplugs by the bedside, or ask guests about the risk before check-in."

Is Ctrip really this irresponsible with reviews now? They probably hired people to write fake positive reviews!"

"We stayed at the Changliu for two nights with our kids and had a wonderful experience. The hotel offered a rich variety of activities, such as making ciba (glutinous rice cakes), crafting herbal sachets, DIY popsicles, and a fireworks show, which the children absolutely loved and enjoyed. The restaurant's food was also clean and delicious. Every staff member greeted us politely. Before we left, we even received local brown sugar as a souvenir. A special thanks to Ms. Huang Sixia; knowing I wanted to buy some brown sugar for friends, she proactively gave me two extra boxes. It's not about the money, but her thoughtfulness and flexibility are truly commendable. I didn't take any photos of the hotel, but the overall environment is excellent. In this area, besides LUX*, Changliu is definitely a top choice."

A lot of effort clearly went into selecting the items, especially the bedding, which was just the right balance of soft and firm. Even for someone like me who usually struggles to sleep well away from home, I had a fantastic night's sleep. In terms of service, this guesthouse truly lives up to its name – 'hometown,' giving you that warm, homey feeling. The owners and their friends/family are incredibly welcoming and generous, always ready to help. They assisted us with our luggage and even brought us welcome fruits and ginger tea. And the food at the guesthouse is absolutely, incredibly delicious! Especially the roast suckling pig, roast chicken, asparagus, and the small zongzi (rice dumplings) for breakfast – it’s that authentic, humble farm-style taste, truly amazing! The owners also invited us to chat and have a drink together, making for a wonderfully pleasant evening. We truly experienced the simple warmth and hospitality here, making it a beautiful memory of our trip to Chongzuo. If we ever come back to Chongzuo, we will definitely book this guesthouse again!"
