"Our stay was lovely. We liked the novel idea of staying in someplace that is technically a castle. The room was nice and clean and the bathroom was spacious and very clean. They didn't offer the info to us when we arrived, but we ended up walking ourselves around the hotel and found the reception desk person giving another couple a tour of the hotel and telling them the history -- I'd have been disappointed to have missed this, but I'm glad we got the info regardless that it wasn't offered to us. Had dinner and drinks in the Green Lady Lounge which was nice and had good food."

"Absolute disgrace . My bathroom was mouldy , there were hairs on the bed , No matress protectors , no headboards , curtains were hanging off the windows , old plasters in the drawers , corridor smelt of urine ,insects in light above door . I could go on . We left and got another hotel in inverness"

"Just wrapped up a lovely girls weekend at Newhall Mains. The staff was wonderful (Ruth was especially helpful!) and the hotel itself is just gorgeous. Comfy beds, soft linens, beautiful scenery, and their very own highland cows! We had a fantastic Continental breakfast every day and a really delicious dinner one night in the restaurant. There's a ton to do in the area and the hotel provides free use of some e bikes. It's a short 30 minute drive to Inverness if you want some city time too. Very highly recommend them! Thanks for a wonderful stay!"
