"The so-called most expensive guesthouse in Wanwei Golden Beach was a truly terrible experience. We booked two rooms on the first floor, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. The online description and pictures of the twin room didn't explicitly state that it faced the road. However, upon arrival, we found ourselves directly facing a food stall, where late at night, cars drove by and people played drinking games, making it impossible for the elderly and children to sleep. We requested an upgrade upon check-in, but were told the room was fully booked and upgrades were not possible. At 9 AM, we saw other twin rooms of the same type available, with balconies facing the guesthouse interior, completely empty. The double room was right next to a storage room, with a trash can right outside the door. Not only were there many mosquitoes, but the room was also teeming with sewer gnats (if you don't know what they are, look them up yourself—they're disgusting). Breakfast ended at 9:30 AM, and by 9:15 AM there was nothing left; waiting for a refill took half an hour. There were even dead mosquitoes in the porridge, and no one replaced it. The exterior looked artistic and photogenic, but the interior had too many flaws. Given this situation, the room was fully booked; they probably don't need repeat customers."
