"Amazing spot! Right in the hub of all the life in Durango! Great parking. The hotel itself was part of the visits fun. We walked around one night looking for something to do, but around 8PM things tend to close down in Durango but it turns out the hotel had to fun we were looking for. We walked back to the hotel and heard lively ragtime piano music coming from the hotels connected saloon. We walked in, found a chair, and cheered along with the rest of the crowd enjoying the music and stories of Adam Swanson."

"Hotel Vieux. The photo doesn't reflect reality at all and gives the impression of something bright and modern, which is far from the truth. The rooms are dark, and the furniture is old and from another era. Breakfast is meager and extremely basic. The prices are inflated, but that's probably because it's in Durango."

"The hotel is conveniently located on US Highway 160, a little outside the town center; quite quiet, but surrounded by rather unspectacular mountains. The Sleep Inn is in a complex it apparently shares with the "Mainstay" brand. Check-in was quick and very friendly. The room was up to the usual Sleep Inn standard: modernly furnished, everything very clean. The breakfast room was very quiet at 7 a.m., and the buffet offered the usual standard fare of scrambled eggs and sausages, toast, and waffles. Not really good."

"While I can't complain about the price of this hotel. It did not live up to the expectations that I had. Location wise, it's near a fairly busy street and not only are the walls thin but there are gaps in the door so I heard every time a car passed by along with all of the commotion that happened outside. Additionally, the photos that you see on the hotels website and reviews don't accurately portray what the hotel looks like in person. It feels like this hotel was attempted to be renovated and got halted somewhere in the middle."

"This is a wonderful house and neighborhood to stay in. Walking distance to downtown Durango. Staying in an old Victorian house is an experience not just sleeping in a room. Tracy and Charley are excellent hosts who are always available. I appreciated their sharing Durango history and about original owners of the house. Our room was very comfortable, quiet, and clean. We loved our balcony."
