"The hotel is well located but for its price it offers little. The room is adequate but it does not have a refrigerator or kettle like other Portuguese hotels, which is important since it also does not have a bar to have a drink or coffee. It only has one sushi bar that is almost always closed. The shower is small and has a half screen that causes inevitable puddles. Breakfast is nothing special either. Correct and that's it. Elvas is wonderful but I expected more from this hotel."

"Such a charming location. Unfortunately we were only there only one night and it rained so we could not explore the grounds like we would have liked to. We had a delicious dinner (pre-order to give the chef time to plan/prepare). We moved into the living room for post dinner wine by the fire place and had wonderful conversation with another guest. Our suite was wonderful and had everything we needed, we only wish we had stayed longer. Breakfast was breads, fruit, meat and cheeses on a buffet, but also hot options (eggs, bacon) A lovely retreat. We will return to enjoy more time."
