"We had a wonderful stay at Mercedes Country House. We spent 7 nights here during our visit to Algarve and it was exactly the peaceful retreat we needed. This place is tucked away in a town about 20 min north of Faro airport. The area is conveniently located to be able to access many interesting areas in Algarve within 1 hour. The staff are kind and attentive, the grounds are beautiful, and the Thai restaurant on site was top notch- we ate there every night that it was open. We also signed up for a Thai cooking class with the chef and learned to make some delicious dishes. Stay here if you’re looking for a peaceful oasis where you can get some restorative rest and eat delicious food, while still being located a short drive from the beaches and the region’s many cultural offerings."

"First of all, I'm really loving Faro! The staff here are all very nice and helpful. At the beginning of the night, the window was open, so it was a bit noisy and hard to sleep. But someone in the room turned on the AC, which made it better in the end. The shower and bathroom were average, but the public area was cozy and comfortable. I didn't join, but they also offer some special dinner options. It was just a one-night stay, but overall, a good place to stay."

"Comfortable apartment for three people. It has a kitchen area (though we didn't check the kitchenware and utensils provided for one night), a living area with a sofa bed and coffee table, and a bedroom with a double bed. The reception staff (open 24 hours, the hostel is just a few dozen meters away) are very friendly. Paid street parking is available, but the area seemed quiet. For breakfast, there's an excellent pastry shop just steps away. The bathroom is very small."
