"This was my second time staying at this hotel. I was always able to relax in the bath, as it was always private. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Feeling the river breeze after a bath was the ultimate luxury. I would like to stay again."

"The only word to describe this hot spring inn is "perfect." The interior design is simple yet sophisticated, and impeccably clean. There's a small beverage area where you can choose your favorite drinks, ice cream, and snacks. The rooms are brand new, and the bathroom and shower facilities are fully equipped. Drinks in the refrigerator are complimentary, and another pleasant surprise is the free ice cream in the fridge! Of course, the outdoor ambiance is the biggest highlight – truly unforgettable, like being in a paradise. Dinner was also a delightful surprise; my friend doesn't eat beef, but they thoughtfully prepared a different main course for him. They even took photos for us! However, one improvement is that they stipulate that each group of guests can only enjoy the hot spring for 40 minutes, and only 30 minutes before dinner and the following morning. For me, the time is 10 minutes too short, because it takes 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the hot spring and prepare to enter the hot spring. In reality, the time to enjoy the hot spring is very short. In my experience of many hot spring hotels, this is the shortest, because the average is at least 50 minutes. Moreover, there were only three guests when I checked in, and they did not allow us to enjoy the hot spring for a longer time. I really don't understand why they are not flexible enough!"

Izumiya

"It is a difficult walk from Iizaka Onsen Station. If there are a sufficient number of people, they will provide a shuttle service. Both dinner and breakfast are served at the dining area. I was very satisfied with the amount and taste. Maybe it was the way the rice was cooked, but the rice was really delicious! Both the open-air bath and the indoor bath were just the right temperature, so I went in five times. The smoking area is outside the entrance. I was impressed by the large number of families there. It's good value for money, so I'll definitely be coming back."

Matsuriya Yuzaemon

"Festival music played in the lobby. Meals were served in the dining hall for both breakfast and dinner, but partitions were set up to provide a sense of privacy. Dinner was Japanese cuisine, including local dishes like squid and carrot salad, tempura, and sukiyaki. Breakfast included radium eggs and grilled fish. There was no menu, and the dishes were served all at once, so there was nothing particularly noteworthy, but the service was very kind. The hot springs had three open-air baths, which weren't very large, and the showers were strong, but the amenities were not complete, and the hair dryers were weak. There was no water supply in the changing room, only outside. The guest rooms were spacious enough and satisfactory. It takes more than 10 minutes to walk to public baths such as Sabako-yu, so you might get cold after bathing. The facilities are not luxurious, but it is satisfactory considering the price of the accommodation."

Yoshikawaya

"Everything is good and the dining environment is good! There is also the sound of insects in the creek. The bathing environment is also good, but it is a pity that there are few outdoor areas. The indoor bathing environment is quite clean. The room layout is Japanese style, the tatami beds are made efficiently, and the space is quite sufficient. Unfortunately, we did not stay long enough to experience the facilities in the museum, which is quite suitable. Family travel accommodation."

Yunoya

"This was my first time staying here. The location was easy to find; I saw it as soon as I exited the station, and it was just across the bridge. I stayed in an annex, a Western-style room converted from a Japanese-style room. The original large window was sealed off and made into a smaller one, but it could still be opened. However, the bed was placed in a strange position, feeling like half of it was inside the room and half on the balcony. When I turned my head to sleep, I was facing a full-length mirror. I was afraid of being startled if I got up in the middle of the night, so I moved my suitcase to the table to block the mirror. In addition, because it was an annex, you had to go down half a flight of stairs to get to the room, which was extremely inconvenient for people with large luggage. So, travelers who book annex rooms should pay special attention and it is best to choose a traditional Japanese-style room. Also, there was no bathroom in the room, but the website said there was a private bathroom. Be careful, as there was a very hot hot bath on the rooftop."

Okina Ryokan

"I was looking for a place to stay where I could bring my pet, and I found this inn. They have a family bath, and their website said it could be used whenever it was available, but in reality, you had to make a reservation at the front desk and borrow a key. Honestly, the facilities are old, but the food is delicious! Or rather, the food was prepared with care, and you could really feel the care they put into making sure our guests enjoyed their meal. They don't use high-end ingredients, but I could tell the food was carefully prepared. I also ordered a local sake tasting set, and the young owner kindly explained the sake to me, allowing me to enjoy different types of sake. The breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, and I was really full. In the evening, I had the chance to interact with the inn's famous cats, which was fun."
