"The staff at this hotel are excellent and super friendly. The employee at the 5* reception was always very helpful. The breakfast very good. The coffee is excellent. The rooms were large and very clean. The location of the hotel is the best, close to everything in the center. When I return to Madeira I will definitely go to this hotel again."

"Located about 5km from the centre but easily accessible by local bus. Airport bus stop directly outside hotel. Decent breakfast. Rooms a little old and some rooms smell musty. Feels a bit like a package holiday hotel but reasonable value for money. First time I’ve ever seen a hotel place an extra charge for using an in-room safe."

"A very simple, modest and old hotel that has been in need of repair and replacement of equipment for a long time. The rooms facing the street do not have balconies and cars with goods for the store are unloaded early in the morning under the windows of the hotel. The rooms facing the courtyard have balconies, but this is the sunny side (and there are no air conditioners in the windows) and there is a constant hum of ventilation. A very, very simple breakfast and bad coffee."
