- The hotel is not handicap-friendly. After checking in, there is a staircase before reaching the lifts. While I don’t have any family members with disabilities, it’s worth sharing this information for the benefit of others.
- The room was dirty, with long hair found everywhere—including on the bed, fridge, toilet, and floor—which I found quite unpleasant. If the cleaning staff are experiencing hair loss, it would be helpful for them to wear a hair net while cleaning. Feeling uncomfortable about the cleanliness upon arrival, I chose not to request housekeeping during my 3-day, 2-night stay.
- The hotel assigned us two rooms for our family of four, which included two toilets. However, the water heater in one of the toilets wasn’t working, so all four of us had to take turns using the other shower. Additionally, there were no non-slip mats in the toilets, posing a potential safety risk. One of the toilets lacked any hooks or racks to hang towels and clothes, making it seem as though it wasn’t intended for bathing. There was also no soap for handwashing or hand towels provided. Lastly, the water pressure for the shower was quite low, which added to the inconvenience.
- The hotel does not serve breakfast on its premises. Instead, we had to go to Merlin Grand Hotel across the road. The breakfast provided was very basic and not enjoyable. Although we were entitled to breakfast for two days, we chose to skip it on the second morning and dine elsewhere due to the poor quality.
- The lighting in the room was quite dim, and one of the lights was not functioning. While I could have asked the hotel staff to fix it, these issues should ideally be addressed and the room properly maintained before guests check in.
- I would not return to this hotel and cannot recommend it to others.
